Charles Co. System launches survey to gather parental input about schools

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is seeking feedback from parents about the school system and its 36 schools. A confidential Schools Making a Difference, also known as SMAD, survey was launched today to gather parental input about schools. The survey is posted on the CCPS website, ccboe.com, under the What’s New section of the main homepage. The survey is available until June 12 and can also be accessed directly here.

A Spanish version is posted under What’s New and can be accessed directly here. Parents can complete the survey on a computer or mobile device.

Parents with more than one child enrolled in a Charles County public school can complete the survey for each school their child attends. The survey includes questions about student learning, school climate and safety, parental involvement and extracurricular activities.

Responses are confidential and will help the school system learn what parents think about the successes of their child’s school and what can be improved. Responses will also help CCPS evaluate programs, and explore ways the school system can meet the needs of students and families.

Questions about the survey can be directed to the Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) Office of Accountability at surveyquestions@ccboe.com or 301-934-7313.
