Aren't you the same group of stupid SOBs who a couple years ago were laughing at and looking down your noses at fast food workers who wanted $15 an hour in major metropolitan areas?
Isn't the complete dumbass who put up the OP the same complete dumbass who a couple years ago was proclaiming victory over fast food workers who wanted increased pay when self order kiosks began popping up?
NOW you are all thrilled that they are getting increased pay and benefits???
Morons....
You are a charmer and a delight to every thread you brighten with your presence.
Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
To answer your question - yes, we are the same group of sons of bitches - at least I am - who thinks that minimum wage is horrible. All it does is reduces the buying power of the entire lower end of the pay scale. In other words a rising sea-level does not raise all ships.
I also abhor the sense of entitlement that leads someone to believe that they are worth more than what the market will bear.
HOWEVER - if a company is successful enough and believes that entry level workers are deserving of benefits and increased pay then GREAT. That's a wonderful example of how the free market can produce a company that VOLUNTARILY pays their low-level employees more than their competition. Which hopefully spreads to said competition and more valuable employees on the front lines.
Contrary to what you've been told, nobody enjoys poverty. Nobody wants to see others living in poverty and struggling with no benefits. Some of us, however, believe that your "solution" doesn't fix the problem - it merely spreads it around, and in most cases exacerbates the problem by making things worse for the people it purports to help.
Keep spreading joy, you ray of ****ing sunshine, you!!!
