Basic premise is the same as we have seen many times before: dad goes after his daughter's evil kidnappers. If you like action flicks like the Die Hard series, you will enjoy this. My wife and I liked this movie for one reason--and that was Liam Neeson (the dad). Dad was a CIA operative that retired because he wanted to move closer to be by his daughter, who now lives with her mom and her new, rich step father. Mom encourages daughter to lie about where she and her girlfriend are going in Europe to get dad to sign papers allowing her out of the country. While dad's berating his daughter on the phone (while moving in to her new digs) for not calling him upon landing in France, she sees her girlfriend abducted in the next room and dad realizes his daughter is going to be taken, too; he gives her advice on where to hide and tells her what other information she needs to tell him. Using his CIA contacts and their unbelieveable technology, dad tracks down her kidnappers in typical Bourne series action! He learns his daughter has been sold into prostitution and ultimately the good ol' boys network (upstanding 'white' guys in tuxedos) is behind it all. This movie is full of action and Liam Neeson holds it together. Definitely worth my money, my coke, and my nachos.

Went and saw this Friday. I thought it was pretty good. I thought it was going to be more of a thriller type movie and it was actually more action packed.

See we really really liked this movie... one of the best we have seen lately.

So what movies would you give a good rating?

Ah, you misunderstood.

It's not a great film but it's good in my opinion. It's one of the films I enjoyed as of late.

Seven pounds was a great film I thought.

This one's overrated, in my opinion. Entertaining, sure, but why was there so much hype? It's such a routine action picture in every way, shape, and form. People must have been seriously starved for entertainment when this made $100+ million earlier this year.

If I want lots of hand-to-hand fighting and car/foot chasing in European locales, I'd much rather pop in a "Bourne" Blu-ray.

Liam Neeson deserves better material than this.
