Bill would mandate nicer term for illegals

A state legislator whose district is home to thousands of Caribbean immigrants wants to ban the term "illegal alien" from the state's official documents.

"I personally find the word 'alien' offensive when applied to individuals, especially to children," said Sen. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami. "An alien to me is someone from out of space."

My house is crowded with junk. Does that now qualify me as an illegal alien in this nut case's vocabulary? What a numb-head she must be at home.

And I personally do not find it offensive. Now, instead of playing games of semantics to distract people and pull on their emotions, she ought to tackle the real problem; you know, do the job she was appointed to do.


I did like this as well:

There would be no penalty for using the words.

These words are terrible!! We should forbid people to ever use them again!! But we won't do anything to you even if you do use them. True Liberal fashion.
