I've never dated a violent person that stole guns.

Yep. That's me.
yea the only loaded "gun" that she is familiar with is the one that is shooting baby batter at her when she is drunk and conceiving children out of wedlock.

I find it both disturbing that about 95% of people who posted on here had something negative to say about DeShann. If you did not know him, how can you begin to comment? He had a lot of family and friends that loved him regardless of the mistakes he made. Besides, I'm sure most of you all know people who have gotten into trouble before, it doesn't mean they deserve to die or would want to end their lives. If you don't care about his passing, then there is no need to post insults or a need to mock his death. A sister no longer has her brother, a mother no longer has her child, etc etc. I would say that I hope people do the same for everyone who made light of Shannie's death, but I actually hope that people will have more decency in the future. R.I.P. to DeShann "Shannie" Prophet. God bless you and we'll miss you.
Make sure you put that in vinyl on the back windshield of your hooptie with 22" dubs. :yay:

Bet you also watch races on 210 right? :killingme

While it is sad and tragic for his family, he chose the lifestyle he led and because of that and his selfishness, his family and daughter are now without a son, brother, father, husband, friend etc. Perhaps jail wasn't something he wanted to do but he should have thought about that when having a handgun in a car and smoking pot and the consequences if he was caught. He was 21 and being irresponsible. When you do certain things in life, you leave yourself wide open to be judged whether you want it or not. He could have been a nice person but unfortunately, when all you see and hear is "Gun and drugs", it's kinda hard to think of him as "nice". He could have hurt an innocent person in the process of all of this.

I guess all of you people on here are "angels" and you all have the right to judge a person's life that you never knew. The last time I checked, none of you are God, so leave the judging up to him. Like I said earlier, 95% of the people posting in here only know what the news and or a police report told you about the story and the person. DeShann/Shannie was a decent guy and it's a shame that his life has come to an end. What's even worse is ignorant people commenting on his passing. You'd do a lot more good praying for his family than condemning him... that's all I'm saying.

Perhaps at his funeral, everyone can reflect on how all of you failed him as friends and family. He couldn't manage to live life on the straight and narrow like the rest of us and chose to make himself an unproductive member of society. Obviously your love and your God did doodly-squat to change that and keep him out of trouble. He ran afoul of the law not once, not twice, but MULTIPLE times. I see his death as no loss to society. His existence was a threat to my safety and security and that of my friends and family members. We may not be angels, but we're law-abiding citizens.

Seems like every time something like this comes up, you get the one post wonders. The thing they don't consider is the families and friends of the people he may have killed with his stolen gun or illegal drugs, those are the innocents, he's not an innocent, he knew what he was doing and I'm just glad he didn't take some innocent bystander or child with him when he went.

Exactly, there are countless posts on here where everyone shows 100% sympathy for the innocent who do tragically lose their lives to an accident... and they lived their lives to be productive (or on their way to be) human beings.

When a thug or group of thugs die you do get one or two morons trying to justify why "they really were a good person"

Yeah - it's tragic... but was there any other outcome by looking at past history with this pillar of the community?

I was going to post something similar to this, but i didnt get a chance earlier. It would have been just a matter of time before he got low on pot and cash and decided to try and rob somebody only to end up killing them. He had a gun, its a damn good thing he never used it, how would you feel if this would have been him up for life in prison for killing an innocent person so he could get high. These kind of people are a drain on society, and like bay kat said its a good thing he didnt take out an innocent bystander, or murder someone before any of this.
