No, not the one from the commercials. If anyone is missing an older German sheperd in the vicinity of Target, give the store a call, and maybe they can tell you where the dog went tonight.
After shopping, I was about to get in the car with my wife and kid when this older dog (little bit of gray around the muzzle) wandered toward us in the parking lot. Mind you, I've never seen this animal before, but it was obviously a lost pet, and it really wanted somebody - ANYBODY - to take it home. My car doors were open, and she hopped right in and curled up in the driver's seat.
After some gentle convincing she got out again.
I got the wife and baby in the car, turned on the a/c for them, and got out to look for the dog. She was gone by this point, so I went back into the store to have them make an announcement on the P/A just in case it was a customer's dog - only to find that the dog had beaten me into the store!
She was already wandering around, and the store personell had seen her.
I felt really bad about leaving, since she was friendly and so obviously lost, but I can't go chasing random dogs around Target while wife and baby wait in the car. Thought I'd post here and maybe you folks know somebody missing a dog.
If not, I guess Target is her new home. Why the hell not, they have dog food there, right?
