Target Portrait Studio

Has anyone been to the Target Portrait Studio in California? We're booked to take my 3mth old baby for pics one Saturday but I was wondering if it was better than Sears/JC Penney?

I've been there and they did a good job getting all my kids to smile at once which is very difficult. I was very disappointed with JCP at the mall. Don't know if the one girl is even still there she didn't even try and didn't listen to anything I wanted. Not knowing it was my only time to get pics with my son and his grammie before she passed away and the girl messed them up and I didn't get them.

My two favorite pics of the girls hanging in my living room are from Target. The girl we had was great and patient. I think it really just depends on who is at these places running the studio. Some are dumb, some know what they are doing.

Carol is the BEST! I always take my babies to Target Studio for pictures. I am happy with Carol's work. She listen to me and do what I want. You can bring your own outfits and things to get what you want to do with the baby. Carol will help you to make it look perfect and cute.

Last month, I brought in cowboy hat and sunglasses for my 7 months old baby, and she provided cowboy boots and bananna to dress my baby up. It is very cute and I am very happy with her work.

I think Target Studio and Carol is worth every cents I paid to get the pictures done. :yay:

I have membership to reduce my pictures fees. Regular prices is $4.99 a sheet. Target mail coupons all the time, so you just have to look for them in the mail once you give them your home address.

If you want the membership to save your money, so you can go back for more pictures; ask about it and they will give it to you no with extra charges.

I got both of my babies pictures taken every once a month for my scrapbooking that I am doing. I am doing the baby's first year monthly pictures for the scrapbooking because babies do look different every month and it is nice to see how much they have grown in thier first year.

It depends on if you get a package or get each sheet separate. Go to the target website- and to the portrait area, and there are printable coupons. :)

If your going make sure Carol is working. Like everyone has said above she is the best. The other girls working there are very good too, but I know Carol and she has always done a great job. The only thing I don't like is the time slots you get, there only about 20 min. each. So you have to be quick. Look at the picture book they have. There's one of my daughters in there. I'm not sure since we just had our 3 week old done but one of the pictures she did for us is the one that had a man holding the baby in his hands and the baby fit just inside them. That's me and my daughter.

Also before I forget. Make sure you where loose fitting cloths. The picture room is HOT.

I spent too much at Target, cost me over $200 and the quality wasn't that great. We were kind of rushed too since they scheduled someone 15 mins right after us. Has anyone gone to Wal-marts, it's gotta be lot cheaper.

Wal*Mart has lost or damaged my pictures everytime I have ever been there. Lifetouch does both Target and JC Pennys pictures. If you look at the equipment, it is the same. The Wal*Mart studio in VA is very nice, the one down here is garbage. A lot of that has to do with the space that they had, and even more had to do with the staff. The last time I went to Wal*Mart was about 7 years ago and they were more expensive than Target which you can get coupons for about 3 bucks a sheet!

The new studio in Walmart is much nicer...and the ladies working there now are very good. I just got my son's pictures done and paid $27 for a package plus two additional sheets (3 different poses).

Target does good pictures too but you will pay about $100.
