So, the kiddo has had a substitute all year, (her regular teacher had a baby about a week into the school year) she has fallen in love with her substitute, she really is excellent. Well friday is her last day. Kiddo wants to do something for her, but what? Any ideas?

Make a gift basket! You can use any basket you have around the house, or you can get one from Michael's as they are very low cost this time of year. Get a "gift basket bag" from Michael's while you are at it. You can find them in the aisle to the left of the store facing the cash registers. Be sure to pick up a single bag rather than pay for the multi-pak. Take your daughter to any department store or dollar store and have her pick out school supplies, snack foods, lotions, etc. that can be used to fill the basket. Put the basket full of goodies into the clear gift bag, tie a ribbon around the top and you have the perfect personalized gift! You control the costs simply by watching what you put in the basket.

I think I would plan a small "Thank You" party from all the class ( if the school will allow it ) send a note home with all the kids so they can bring her cards or small gifts, or all donate towards a gift basket or gift card. Just have cake and snack foods in the class at the end of the day. Maybe the last 30 minutes of the day. Maybe the school would allow that, seems all the children will miss her and what a great way to let her know how much they all enjoyed having her.

I think the principal would go for that.

Teacher Leaving? 11-27-2007 10:54 AM Of course you're heading over there. You are constantly over at the school. Why would you stay at home when you could annoy the public and embarress your kids???

What it's not enough you email me and text me? Now you want to stalk me in the forums. :yahoo:

I got this one.....

Do all SAHM just sit at home all day and think up ideas to make them look like "perfect mommys" or are you the only one?

1. I am not a SAHM

2. I did not think up this idea it was provided for me in this thread :smack: keep up

3. Yes, it is my main goal in life to be a perfect mommy, by striving for perfection my kiddos get the best me possible. I mean after all isn't parenthood the most important job on the planet as it is what paves the way for the future? :diva:

*disclaimer* by no means am I claiming to be perfect, I am solely stating that I do the best I can.
