Tech bullying

As in, my devices and programs/services are bullying me.

First there was (is) the fiasco of NetSol screwing up my client's domain name, which still is not resolved.
Then yesterday my printer decided to go offline so I had to hand write checks.
AND Quickbooks is saying I'm missing account information that is right there I can see it, so I couldn't direct deposit.
Today Outlook isn't recognizing my Gmail password and won't download my mail.

The printer issue is easily resolved, just reinstall the software.
The Outlook deal typically resolves itself for whatever reason.

But the other two will require me to sit on hold for an hour waiting for tech support to take my call, and I dread that.

I'm sick of tech and ready to live a life without it.

Today Outlook isn't recognizing my Gmail password and won't download my mail.

This was fixed by going into my Google account and adjusting the "Change account access for less secure apps" to allow Outlook to access my Gmail. Not sure how that got changed overnight, and my account is only showing activity that I personally did.

Thank you Google for protecting me.

Wow, my nastygram worked! I sent them a, um, pointed email yesterday letting them know that their attention to my problem was, um, unsatisfactory. I just now got an email back apologizing for the confusion, and the domain has been reinstated, good to go.

Let me know if you ever need someone bitched out. Apparently I'm pretty good at it.

I bet you didn’t tell them you were going to be mean for a minute, first.

:jet:

My default is to assume they are reasonable, it was just a mistake, and they'll take care of it. When they become balky is when I become, um, insistent.

But it shouldn't have to come to that. Why not just do the right damn thing in the first place?? :burning: lol

Now my only tech problem is getting QB to recognize me as me and reinstate my payroll features. So it's been a good day.
