God bless the USA
I didn't even think Pinterest was a thing anymore. Does anyone still use it?

I have never used it. I find my own recipes and crafts. WTH. How can a site like that become political? Hold on to your hats, y’all. The Trump train is still rollin’ down the track. I think that this thing with Pinterest is a true barometer of where our country is/was headed. Thank you, President Trump.

If 81% of Pinterest users are "actually" females, what percent of users are "not actually" females?

BTW, liveaction.org really does read like the URL of a porn site.

Yes, I use it all the time. Mostly for recipes and home ideas. And another reason why I got the Fire 10 so I can see the recipes while I am in the kitchen and not fumble with my phone.

Then Youtube removed Veritas' video about the Pinterest censorship, citing a violation of privacy because it included the name of the employee who entered the ban. Then Pinterest fired the leaker. Be nice to see a wrongful termination lawsuit, but I'm not sure he has a leg to stand on.

Not a Veritas fan because they are partisan, but Youtube is wrong and obviously in collusion with Pinterest.

I also deleted my Pinterest account. Next, I remove as much of my data from Google as possible.

Well, I need to correct myself based on new information.

Crowder did a video which had a short segment with OKeefe about the Pinterest story. In the video they included some of the Pinterest docs that OKeefe presented in his video which was taken down.

Crowder also received a Privacy complaint from Youtube and he posted a screen capture of the notice which included time codes of the offenses.

I looked at the first time code, which is linked above, and you can clearly see the names, photos and email for a few Pinterest employees. This is clearly a privacy concern since these people are not public figures. Youtube is right for taking them down and we would do the same thing here.

This is another reason I don't like OKeefe. Instead of just being a big boy and admitting that he probably should not have posted people's personal data, he blows it out of proportion and makes it seem like YouTube is censoring the message when clearly are NOT. He crosses the line from journalism to activism. If I understand correctly, all he has to do is remove the aforementioned info and he can repost his video.

Nothing else changes in regards to the Pinterest censorship issue. Youtube, however, did do the right thing.

I'm a bit more cynical I doubt seriously the ban was for privacy reason, but thanks for the update.

[email addresses could have blocked but the names left]

In New Bill, Sen. Josh Hawley Warns Big Tech: Stop Political Censorship Or Lose Your Precious Legal Immunity

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) introduced legislation on Wednesday aimed at cracking down on “Big Tech’s political censorship.” Hawley’s Ending Support for Internet Censorship Act would amend Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act “to encourage” major tech platforms “to provide content moderation that is politically neutral.”

“Under Hawley’s bill,” Fox News reported, “big tech firms would have to provide evidence to the FTC proving that their algorithms and content-removal practices are neutral. Tech titans would also be responsible for the costs of performing audits, and would also have to re-apply for immunity every two years.”

According to the legislation, which would apply only to major platforms, a company’s content moderating practices are politically biased if they are:

designed to negatively affect a political party, political candidate, or political viewpoint; or disproportionately restricts or promotes access to, or the availability of, information from a political party, political candidate, or political viewpoint; or an officer or employee of the provider makes a decision about moderating information provided by other information content providers that is motivated by an intent to negatively affect a political party, political candidate, or political viewpoint.
