You have to ingrain in their head at a very young age that "ess-ee-ex" is a dirty dirty dirty bad thing, and that only BAD EVIL NASTY DIRTY people do it.

And it hurts.

I think I will have a little talk with my son tonight. He talks to another girl occasionally, I asked him if he liked her in a romantic way, he said no, but she might end up being a "friend with benefits!!" :eyebrow:

Alot of kids are doing that now. But don't think it's mentally healthy. Teenagers arent emotionally mature enough to handle it. Talk to you son. :huggy:

Im not sure how good this is, but at least your son felt he could talk to you , but on the other hand, I CAN'T believe he told you that. And yes, alot of people now have friends with benefits. But for kids to tell thier parents.....thats like admitting your having sex to ma and pa. Not in my day. And yes I am showing my age. :lmao:

I have my teenagers help out with their infant sibling. Honestly, when the baby is at his worst I say to them now think what it would be like if you were the parent. Has been working so far. Maybe you have a friend with a baby that he could help watch for a day. After that he may be swearing off sex for a long time. Especially if you have a friend with a hard to handle baby.

It is strange, my son has always told me everything. Sunday morning he said "The next time you and step-dad go to bed early, remind me to turn my TV on. Hearing what you all did last night traumatized me for life!!" :faint:

One of THE hardest things I've ever had to do was take my 17 year old to the GYN for birth control. My heart was SCREAMING, "NO NO NO! NOT YET!" :bawl:But my head was saying, "Calm down mom, at least you won't be raising her babies."

Simple - I just won't tell them where babies come from.

I am also currently saving up money for their future therapy sessions

But wait, there's more...
There used to be a billboard on Rt. 5 between Brandywine & Waldorf that read something like this: "A baby costs $700 a month -- how much is your allowance?" I thought that conveyed a good, thought-provoking message kids could comprehend. :yay:
