I think they were given approval too. Not quite sure on this but I put my cell number on the cell do not call registry.. Also when you have them call be polite and tell them to put you on their do not call list.. I have like no telemarketing calls anymore except for the fire dept and Police dept.

So where do I go to file a complaint?

I'd call your cell phone's customer care number.

That's frigging outRAGEous - I'd ask your provider if they will kindly remove those minutes from your bill, because you neither asked for nor wanted that phone call, and you shouldn't be liable for it.

And I would have told the telemarketer that he's an ignorant ####hole and deserves to die of gonhorrea and rot in hell.

Why in the blue crap should anyone be polite to a telemarketer?

It's not the telemarketer's fault - it's the fault of the people that compile their lists.

The "Do Not Call" list only affects commercial telemarketers. Callers from charitable organizations, etcetera, can still call any number they get their hands on.

When they DO call you, you should politely ask to speak to their manager---ASK (and note) THE MANAGER'S NAME---tell the manager that you would like your number removed from their database, and that if you receive another call from said organization that you will press charges for harassment.

The telemarketer has a job where all they do is bother people who don't want to be bothered using the person's own paid resources.

That's all they do.

It is their fault. As soon as they took the job, they became the enemy.

It's no coincidence that most of the telemarketers that pester us are half-illiterate and speak barely understandable Engrish.

At least they're working (sort of) and not on the dole.

You're not going to do that though if they call your cell phone. Maybe you will...I really don't know you that well. I'll wait patiently for THAT thread.

Your cell phone company must be extremely generous with on-line minutes or they too must be morons.
