Power with Control
If you've not heard, you most likely will next week, since the mainstream press seems to lag a few days.
A guy, who coincidentally owns a company that sells software to OEMs to help them build Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) has got a rock hard on for Tesla Autopilot and Full Self Driving Beta. To the point he's taken out full page ads in the New York Times advocating for its banning. And made a run for Congress where the only cause he advocated was forcing that system off the road.
So he founded a non-profit that appears to have the one goal. And late last week the released a video showing an Tesla literally mowing down a mannequin dressed as a child. The linked article does a pretty good analysis of all the things wrong with this "test".
Keep in mind, the NHTSA, the IIHS, EuroCAP and other governmental other well know NGO groups actually perform this same sort of testing, and Tesla normally aces it.
