I don't really understand why anyone tries to be nice to these miscreants. I just read something where a couple is having a disagreement over whether to remove their Trump flag or not when their progbot relative comes over for TG dinner. The husband says get rid of it, the wife says no.

Why would you even consider redecorating your home to suit some mental patient who would never do the same for you, and probably posts Tik Tok videos explaining in detail how they would kill you?

Hey Democrats? If you can't be civilized during dinner, don't go. Nobody likes you anyway and they won't miss your political ravings disrupting the prayer.

Drink from the same water fountain or use the same bathroom?
Or - gasp - let your daughter DATE one of them?

And they don't get it either. It's like that guy in the Progressive commercial where everything is about his motorcycle. He can't see it, and cannot see what it is doing to his relationships. (Yeah, it's a commercial, and it's comedy - but people are like that).

That's a good analogy

But at least that Progressive guy is happy and cordial - he's not screaming invective at the dinner table. My youngest cousin is a 20yo college student and apparently she's insufferable. Her left leaning mother indulges her but nobody else can stand her. This year my aunts have decided to hold a quiet TG at home instead of going to Uncle's house where rant-head will be.
