Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
39 He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.
41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
I apologize for the posts yesterday. I'm a Christian but I'm not perfect at all. I do think some people alive today remind me of Herod, Salome's stepdad but it's not right for me to clobber them with a label, unless I am getting paid off by one of his lawyers.... lol. So, I apologize.IMHO.... Jesus says we should not set ourselves up for a fall. If we act all hoity toity then we'll be judged on the hoity toity level. If we act like a drunk, we'll be judged as a drunk. If we act like a sexist, people will call us sexist and judge us accordingly. If we act like morons, we'll be treated as morons. If God gave us a brain and we don't use it, then we'll be treated like someone who had a brain but refused to use it. If we rob a bank, we will be judged as bank robbers. If a man acts like a pig, he might find himself skewered, dripping fat into a pit..., right?
I know I'm not perfect. That's why I'm glad Jesus and His Father will only judge me fairly.
I'm thrilled Jesus and His Father are going to judge me. I'm also terrified.
I'm going to be judged on what I do and say and think. That's fair.
