I wonder what the bill says about THCA that wasn't banned previously. THCA was/is legal and drops the A molecule when heated/burned. Only time will tell.

The provision “prevents the unregulated sale of intoxicating hemp-based or hemp-derived products, including Delta-8, from being sold online, in gas stations, and corner stores, while preserving non-intoxicating CBD and industrial hemp products,” according to a Senate Appropriations Committee summary.

Read that again. In news-jargon they call that a "buried lede" - the most important and pertinent part of the story buried down below the propaganda.

We just killed our pot legalization bill in Florida because we don't want people buying dope at the gas station or have it in school vending machines. Had the lawmakers been sensible about it and not a bunch of retards, it would have passed easily. But liberals have never known how to take yes for an answer.

I just saw a piece on the CA pot dealers - because of regulations and taxes, it's cheaper for people to get their recreational dope from street dealers, so that's what they're doing, which is putting legal dealers out of business.

What's funny is that, FOR YEARS, that was possibly the BIGGEST selling point of legalizing pot. Geez, I heard this in the 70's --

"See, if we LEGALIZE it, we will make a fortune off of it from taxes on legal pot. It's win-win!"

And any nitwit with a brain cell said, so if it's legal, and I buy it from some guy in the street or grow it myself - how much will you or these legal dealers make, then?

Thank you. It sounds like THCA (Delta-9) is still legal for sale via mail order.

The other stupid point was, "Oh now dopers won't rob and steal for their fix!" Um, why? Because it's going to be free?

Anyway, I personally know several "medical" marijuana users who got their card because of "anxiety", when in fact they're just pot heads and smoking all that dope is what makes them anxious.

There are exceptions to every stereotype, there are many successful "potheads" and "alcoholics", and they do make contributions to society. I am one and know many more. That horse is too high to make assumptions; you are only fooling yourselves by trying to climb on.

See, and I don't personally know any functional dopers. The ones I'm personally acquainted with are low achievers, or formerly high achievers who now just want to sit around and get high.

Which is fine because they're not hurting anyone, but let's not kid ourselves that these people are going to cure cancer or something. Probably the most common successful employment for druggies is in entertainment or arts.

FACT: a solid number of robberies and thefts are to fund the thief's drug habit. You don't get to argue about that because it's a fact.

The point is that people who steal to fund their drug habit aren't suddenly going to have money to buy just because it's legalized. In fact, as CA shows us, legal sources are more expensive.

See, you got defensive for no reason. We were discussing the stupid rationales liberals came up with to legalize pot when in reality most people would be okay with legalizing it for recreational use as long as there were common sense regulations and enforcement in place, like they do with cigarettes and alcohol.

The biggest problem, imo, is that the Left doesn't know how to take yes for an answer. You go, "Sure, let's legalize pot," and they go, "Well what about heroin? And cocaine? And and and...?" Now, I couldn't care less what people want to kill themselves with, I just don't want to pay for it in any way. I don't want to be robbed by addicts, and I don't want to subsidize it with my tax dollars. I also don't want to pay for their rehab or narcan or whatever. If Tunnels to Towers has to take up a collection, the drug addict/OD people should have to as well instead of tax payers having to pay for it.

Nothing defensive about it just another stereo type. Same with lawyers accountants anyone can be a thief and all have a reason!

Why is this a bad idea?

...unregulated sale of intoxicating hemp-based or hemp-derived products, including Delta-8, from being sold online..

Pretty sure you can find plenty of supply around SM.

Glad you are in remission, however I highly doubt marijuana is responsible.

Stereotypes come from somewhere, they don't just materialize out of thin air.
Yes they do but not everyone YOU include is guilty of it. Just like YOUR stereotyping of successful and attractive women. But I do admit YOU have toned that down a notch or two.
