The Lord is my Shepard (My Leader, I will follow Him)
I shall not want (more than He will provide, and He will provide)
He makes me to lie down in green pastures (He will untangle my messes if I
am still and wait on him)
He leads me beside still waters (He provides beauty in my life)
He leads me down the path of righteousness for His name's sake (to do good
in His name, not my own.)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death (when times are
harder than I imagined they could be)
I will fear no evil (from the world or self imposed)
For You are with me (even when I can't feel it)
Your Rod and Your Staff they comfort me (You have given me rules to follow
and shown me the way through your life. Boundaries help me not to stray)
You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies (You care for me
individually, I am not lost to the crowd)
You anoint my head with oil (I am given your Grace)
My cup runs over (I am blessed)
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all of the days of my life (My life
has a purpose and I will continue to receive His blessings)
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (my life is saved and I
