That’s cool and all, but what place does government have in stopping a mutually-beneficial transaction between free and rational actors?

Just going to put it out there that not wanting foreign ownership of companies isn't a MAGA concept. Next we'll start hearing anyone who is against illegal immigration is MAGA even though that has been a talking point since forever.

I’d prefer more American-based manufacturing, but to the extent they are prosperous and robust. Not just because they are American, but because they are American *and* profitable. Yes, not every company is profitable from day one. But there are a few domestic steel producers which are profitable, and without significant debt. What are they doing that others can’t or aren’t? But none of that is hardly the point.

While I will suggest the US government certainly has an interest in what large manufacturers do and who owns them, etc. how far does it go?

My question is that given we still have freedom of association, how much force is considered reasonable by the armed agents of the State to apply to prevent such a transaction?

Try opening a business in China and tell them about your freedom ideas......

I'm not convinced that Fetterman is anyone but the same guy he always was - he hasn't turned a corner, changed his view or even embraced anything conservative. He supports almost to the last, most Democratic positions.

He differs with them on Israel - Democrats vacillate between supporting Israel and outright hatred of Israel, but he isn't.
He differs with them on immigration or more to the point - illegal immigration. As a few other Dems have because it's actually come to their doorstep and bitten them on the ass. Don't expect him to vote with Republicans in the future.
He's stated that if they can boot someone from the House for the charges brought against Santos - well damn, don't the Dems look stupid having a crook like Menendez REMAIN in the Senate. I am not convinced that should it come to a vote, that he will vote against him. He's just running his mouth.

Like Tulsi Gabbard - I don't think he is any different from the smirking SOB he was a year ago. He's just said a handful of things, is all.

I kinda like him now

I don't trust these people. Fetterwoman may be trying to keep himself electable by distancing himself from the fringe Democrats (which isn't really fringe since it's all of them). He's done a rather remarkable about-face.

I don't care what he says, he will vote with the Borg.
and that is my concern.

It would be SO NICE if people went to Washington and voted what the voters who elected them wanted vs. party bs.

I hope he continues making sense.

In the case of Pennsylvania and their woke thinking I am not sure that Democrats are not voting for what the idiots of Pennsylvania want.

Fetterman Continues to Surprise With Truly Funny Take on Harvard's Leftism

Fetterman just eviscerated Harvard's failure to properly deal with antisemitism and he slammed the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. He said that he went to Harvard 25 years ago, and they had always been a little "pinko'."

"As an alum of Harvard — look, I graduated 25 years ago, and of course it was always a little pinko," Fetterman told Semafor this week "But now, I don’t recognize it."

Yes, he did go to Harvard for graduate school. He got a Masters in Public Policy degree from there. And he's right, it was always bad, but now it's beyond the beyond with how bad it is.

Am I the only one that has this ******* on ignore? If someone on the bus continually has toxic flatulence issues, do you still sit next to them every morning? Ignore it and it will eventually go away. Stop feeding the troll already. It's only purpose in life is to get a reaction. It's a sad, sad shell of a human being.
