We stayed a week. We've been there several times because we own a timeshare in the Harborside section of Atlantis. We spend a lot of time on the beaches there. We used to always stay at the main (public) beach next to the Coral and Beach Towers but since they completed the Cove and Reef Towers, we like hanging out at the Cove beach because it has a pool right next to it and an entrance to the rapids river ride. We also make one or two trips to downtown Nassau during the week. You'll want to try the Fish Fry which is like a "farmers market" of local food places. It's located west of the downtown area going towards Cable beach. There's also a smaller Fish Fry sort of set up at the foot of the bridge that takes you from Paradise Island back to New Providence Island. One thing we've sort of made a tradition when we go down is we take a trip on the Flying Cloud catamaran on Sunday. They go to a nice snorkeling area then to the beach on Rose Island for lunch and all the rum drinks you can drink. If you haven't arranged your airport transfers yet, I can recommend the taxi driver we use every year.
