being able to rock my little one to sleep.....it never gets old.
I tried to rock my 15 yr. old to sleep but he kept hitting them with a bat!
hehe, yeah it definitely doesn't last forever, you just have to enjoy them while they are sweet and little.
I still have a little one to rock to sleep, but he's white and furry with beautiful blue eyes.

It "was" the greatest feeling in the world. Now it is those occasional big hugs when they come to visit.
Enjoy it while you can.
Have you ever read that children's story "I'll love you forever"?
"Goodnight Moon".....
I use to read the book "I love you forever" to my girls when they were little, the still remember me crying while trying to finish the story every single time I read it.
I cry too. It is a special book.
I have "Goodnight Moon" and "Guess how much I love you" feautring little hare and big hare....reading is another favorite past time, our library is huge! haha
Well, that mother, she got older. She got older and older and older. One day she called up her son and said, "You'd better come see me because I'm very old and sick." So her son came to see her. When he came in the door she tried to sing the song. She sang:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always...
But she couldn't finish because she was too old and sick. The son went to his mother. He picked her up and rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And he sang this song:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my Mommy you'll be.
When the son came home that night, he stood for a long time at the top of the stairs. Then he went into the room where his very new baby daughter was sleeping. He picked her up in his arms and very slowly rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while he rocked her he sang:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.
Oh my God, I cannot buy this book, I won't even be able to finish reading the whole thing. Wow, that was incredibly emotional...

This book was also my first insight into just how twisted Rosie ODonnell is, I remember when she has her talk show and she went on and on about how horrible and pedophile like this book was. Talking about the mom crawling into the grown sons window.
