I'm always reluctant to post in the Religion Forum. It was a lot easier when I was poking fun at Christians. It's not so easy now. I'm sure that anyone who knows me on here probably thinks that I've gone off the deep end, but I think that might make me a good tool for Jesus to use. I was an atheist for a very long time, but I was truly called by God, and now I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. We're supposed to share the Gospel, make disciples. Mustn't one become a disciple before making disciples? I hardly fit that bill, but I'm compelled to share the message, and the message is life or death.

If people can't see that we are living in the end times, then they're in denial, or they're too occupied with everything else to see what's happening. One can't see the forest for the trees?

So, I've come across some video's that might help to show how Bible prophesy is happening now. Maybe watching a few 10 or 30 minute video's will be easier than picking up the Bible, but ultimately, I do hope you will grab your Bible and read it, because there's not much time left.

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times
1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. 9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. 15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time. 26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. 29 “Immediately after the distress of those days “ ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ 30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earthwill mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. 32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that itis near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
The Day and Hour Unknown
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

More to come...

I've been around awhile, and so, can confirm this. Actually you were brutal..LOL.

Seriously, though, I use to pray one day your eyes would be opened.

Good thread. Carry on...

This is the video I wanted to start with, and the rest makes more sense with this. I was flipping through youtube last night, and because I had done some similar searches, this one came up, even though I was looking for information on a painting project I'm getting ready to jump into.

The Quran says that Allah is Satan. This is reinforced with Biblical scripture in the video.
It's only around 7 minutes long, so most people should have a few minutes to watch it.
It's very interesting.

You're welcome. Never took it personal, so nothing to forgive. Could read between the lines that you were a good person. Anyway, I didn't contribute much, mostly read the arguements between you and 2A...whom I miss contributing here. He was really good at explaining and teaching.

Ha! That reminds me, I have a question for him.

He's still with us? Great! Only because when someone that post every day and then stops...can't help but wonder what happened to them.

Another thing about him, he fought a good fight in this part of the forum and politics. I wish I was good at it.

You are good at it too. You will open some eyes, most sure.

The question is how does one reconcile the rapture with Matthew 24:20... Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath (was this message only for Judea?)....and so on.
I've struggled for a very long time with "everyone goes to heaven", and "the meek shall inherit the earth". Even before my days of atheism.

The Mark of the Beast

Found this, and thought I'd share. In recent months I've thought this to be the case.
I'm not saying it is, but it seems to fit. I'd still not rule out things like the RFID chip, though.
Even if the chip isn't the mark of the beast, I still don't want the NWO to have that much access to my life.

yes you sow seeds, [spreading the good word] but God will nurture a seed planted ... with his spirit

nope, not everyone goes to Heaven ... even 'Christians' who think they are saved

Revelation 3:16

Allow me to rephrase that: Everyone goes to heaven, who doesn't go to hell. See, I feel like earth is where I belong. Maybe I'm wrong, but there are passages that might indicate that some (who are saved) will not go to heaven, but stay or return to earth.

Isaiah 65:17, 66:22, 2 Peter 3:13, Rev 14:3 (this is where I think we get the number who actually get to go to heaven). So, no, I didn't mean "everyone". My apologies for not being clear.

That narrows it down a whole lot, and falls right in line with Matthew 7:13-14. Earth will be destroyed, so heaven or hell are the only options left. The gate to life is small, the way is narrow, and few find it. That from the mouth of Christ himself. Hell will be full of good people, heaven will be occupied by saved sinners.

Even heaven as we think we know it will no longer exist when God brings down the new Jerusalem and the new heaven, which will be new creations, for all those saved. Heaven is where God is, and He will be in His new kingdom. (Rev 20:11, Rev 21)

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but only the saved in Christ will be around, while the rest of humanity will languish in eternal hell. Everyone has been warned, or will have been, before this occurs. Everyone has a choice in their destination.

That's awesome mAlice, and very encouraging. Thanks for posting that. God is still performing miracles!

With all that's been going on in the world, I had some thoughts of Biblical End Times. I almost skipped over to Ezekiel to see what all the fuss was about, but decided to stay in Genesis with Jesus's dysfunctional family. A few people have told me we are in the last days and I believe we see the signs all around us. I've even heard of the doomsday clock and how it seems to be moving faster these days.

Here's a couple of things I learned that might help. God is in control. It's His plan and He'll handle it when the time is right for Him. So there's nothing we can do to change it.

I'm the oldest of five children. My dad was in the Navy but he was one of those rare sailors who rarely went to sea. I remember when my brother and sisters would act up. I knew that as the oldest their actions would come back on me.... see I was charged with keeping them in line 24/7. When they got into trouble, so did I. When I moved out of the house I had a void where keeping them in line use to be so I started worrying about the people in the world all around me. Being in charge of everyone and everything in the world is just too big of a job for any human.... let me tell you. I am so happy I found Psalm 46:10.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.

Jesus says that God is the perfect Father. Look at Matthew 7:11.

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Paul talked about our adoption. As Believers we inherit so much. Check out Romans 8. Here's an excerpt.

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

With everything that's been going on in the world lately, I get a little overwhelmed as well. Take heart.... Jesus didn't come just to save the 144,000. Those descendants have a place in the end times that is apart and separate from our place [unless you happen to be a descendant of Jacob]. Jesus offers Salvation to everyone who will Believe. That's the ticket, not just being alive when end times happen. There will be ticket scalpers [false prophets] everywhere in end time but the only redeemable ticket to Heaven is Christ.

As for feeling like you belong here on earth as opposed to Heaven.... well I just don't comprehend that question. To me, Heaven is where God is. To me, Heaven is home. Kids who are adopted go to a new home. It's an apprehensive but wonderful part of the process. As Believers, we're going to go to our new home. I think we'll remember our place here on earth and the people we met along the way but, like the adopted child that moves into his new home with his new family, we'll fill our days with new sights and sounds.

I know I didn't answer any of your questions. I know that studying End Times is a trying experience. Just remember, we are children of God. End Times won't kill us. That's what I keep telling myself anyway....

:coffee:

I've struggled for a very long time with "everyone goes to heaven", and "the meek shall inherit the earth". Even before my days of atheism.

The way I see it is Matt 24:20 is specifically referring to the time of the siege and ultimate destruction of Jerusalem, that occurred in 70 A.D., but in the wider context of the entire chapter, Jesus is talking about both the destruction of Jerusalem AND the end of time.

The disciples questions came in response to Jesus comment in 24:2, where he said, “Do you see things…” What things? The buildings in Jerusalem they were walking by and looking at when He said it (v. 24:1). The disciples asked their question, which was actually two questions, but they probably didn’t think of it that way. They didn’t yet understand that the OT sacrificial system was going to be done away with in Christ. So, to them, the destruction of Jerusalem was probably equivalent to the end of time. Thus their question, "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" (v. 24:3). So, Jesus addressed both questions.
