Considering moving our 7th grader out of the Charles County Public School System. Question is where to go ?? Looking into the Calverton School but given its price tag would like to get some assurance that it's really that good. Anyone have any experiences with this school ?

Grace Lutheran is very good - in LaPlata, my kid goes there and we have nothing but great things about it

Grace Bretheran is very good as well! Calverton is pricey but i hear its great. I don't blame you wanting to get your child out of CC Public Schools...they are horrific. Which school does your child go to?

AWESOME! AWESOME School. Academics are great!! Social environment (parents/teacher/kids) is great!!! Down side is sports. Lacrosse is their bread and butter for sports. They do not have baseball, football, or wrestling.

BUT....They take Lacrosse extremely serious and the coaches make it their personal mission to get kids recognized by prominent schools - year around. The best thing is that academics are taken serious by day and athletics are taken serious by night.

If you can swing it - Do It!!! you won't be dissatisfied.

I don't blame you for wanting to pull kiddo out of John Hanson. :dead:

I've heard nothing but good things about Grace Bretheren. Grace Lutheran has a good school as well. If you can swing Calverton, go for it.

What about St. Peter's or St. Mary's Bryantown? I'm assuming that maybe you are planning to keep your child there throughout high school as well?

Yes, the move would be through high school. From what I hear about the extracurriculars going on at John Hanson the thought of Thomas Stone is downright scary.
