Yep. I wonder if she wants us to vote for Fritz?

One of the issues is probably more people see the iterations of the County Times (Calvert has its own) than see Southern Maryland News. I bought it for decades, or rather its Calvert Recorder predecessor, but stopped recently when the price went over $2 and had page after page after page of Charles County reporting and legal notices (as a side note to that-pay your ****ing mortgages people).

Since when does county government pay to publish their notices? It used to be the papers ran them gratis as "news".

Also, County Times would be featuring Todd Morgan regardless of any quid pro quo. Democrats should start their own local newspaper if they don't like it. They don't say a damn word about Democrat owned national media outlets relentlessly promoting Democrat political agenda and Democrat politicians, but you let a small local Republican owned paper promote another Republican, who happens to be the County Commissioner President, and they start throwing themselves on the floor.

I hope Tommy McKay tells them to pack sand.

That gratis thing ended years ago.

I think they should pay, not a lot keeping papers afloat these days.

I'd argue part of that isn't giving away their services.

It's news. If you got in a massive car accident would you have to pay to have them put it in the paper? Isn't every single word they print "giving away their services"? Is everything supposed to be paid advertising? Did Todd Morgan pay for that cover story?

Also, why pay for print nobody reads when you can - dur - post it pretty much everywhere on the internet - including Somd.com - for free and reach a significantly larger audience?

****ing dinosaurs.

The part I like about it being in print is they can't go back and edit it later after being beat on by the public.

I wouldn't know about the free news stories, most of what happens in SOMD goes unreported anywhere. Was blown away when I moved here that there were no local channels with their own news affiliates.

That and then doing it for free makes the county beholden to the publication. It should pay the same as the adult outlet for the page space

I know I grab a few at a time, I use it to light the charcoal.

They're great for the Weber charcoal chimney. Three full double pages is perfect for briquettes.

I also use them when fileting perch on the kitchen counter. <-- Bachelor

I also use it to line aluminum pans and top with paper towels to drain fried filets after deep frying.
