Well the day has finally gotten here, I take the youngest to Children's for his migraine's he has been having. Have appt. at 3pm, the traffic coming home is going to be interesting....

Aww good luck with your son. It's got to be sad for you to see him hurt like that. My brother's had migraines all his life. It was sooo sad when he was a little kid because he just looked so helpless. They never really found out what's caused them for all these years (he's 24 now). Thankfully, they come a lot less often now.

How did it go? Any luck? I used to get bad migraines and went through a lot of testing. They never did figure out what caused them but they eventually stopped. It must be really hard for you to see him suffering. :huggy:

hmmmmmm
My son gets them too, it hurts to see him like that. The only thing that seems to help is cool compress, peppermint oil on the temples, motrin and to take a nap. I swear they usually come after overexertion.

How did it go?

We made out just fine thank goodness.....I seen a Dr. Scheller and he was absolutely amazing. He was very good with B. and took his time. We were in there for about an hour.

He looked over B's CT scans that he has had done in the past and said everything looks very good. He told B he has a very smart looking brain....LOL! He examined B from head to toe and said he past the test on everything. Doc sent me an email and said should he have anymore migraine's to email him to let him know. He also wrote a prescription for Maxalt (Imitrex) for when the migraine's get really bad.

Well wouldn't you know he had one last night. When he came home from school he was not active at all and at about 7pm he finally came clean. I had been asking him if his head was hurting and he kept telling me know. Well all he!! broke loose when he couldn't stand the pain any longer, tears were a flyin. So I put him in bed, gave him the Maxalt which is a strip that you place on the tongue and it dissolves. Put a warm compress on his forehead and off the sleep he went. He woke up at 1:47 this morning and said his head wasn't hurting anymore. I just talked to him a little bit ago and he said his head was fine. He told me to hold on, shook his head and said it felt fine. I emailed the doc with the details and am waiting to hear back from him.

I did find out something rather interesting....B still wets the bed and I asked the doc about that. I mean I can give him nothing like 2-3hr before bed and he will still wet the bed. Anyhow he said it is a gene that they inherit from the mother or father that causes them to do that. Well guess what he got from his dad, that stinkin gene. I hope he doesn't get the LAZY gene from him too....
