Kind of reminds me of the Dallas game where Romo was the MVP for the Bears.
:lmao:

What happened to Obama? Usually he's a lot better at this - he did great against McCain. The body language; the forceful, confident air; the charisma. Tonight he was dog crap on Romney's patent leather loafer.

the poor dad
Fox News viewer panel - 25 undecided going into the debate. More than half decided after debate to vote for Romney. There is hope for America! :yahoo:

He gave a great answer about his lack of detail!

another thing about this

lack of detail could have been a strategy

A very poignant point for me was Romney's comment about why he wants to reduce taxes - he mentioned how many small business (owners) are paying taxes as individuals - and he emphasized that it's small businesses that create most of the jobs

He's smart - I was very enthusiastic about the details he provided tonight

The line of the night was "trickle-down government". The Romney campaign needs to grab that and run with it.

Well, I missed the debate since I had previously scheduled engagement- but from the scuttlebutt here, the news clips I have been seeing since it was over - wow! It looks like Romney did very well for himself. Oh, what the heck - he wiped the floor with Obama. Obama came to the battle of wits unprepared. Romney was uber prepared and it shows.

I guess my question of the debate is Ooooh, what happened to the Great Orator of 4 years ago? Too bad POTUS didn't have TOTUS. :killingme

P.s. - I just heard an Obama delegate on FNC said that Romney "won stylistically", but "not substantively" - that he was confusing in his substance.

HAH! Looks like some of the talking points have been handed down...

I can't wait for the Paul Ryan/Joe Biden debate!

Paul Ryan is the political wonk and even though Joe Biden has been in Washington most of his adult life, he will be no match for Ryan. Biden will try to unnerve Ryan, but from what I've seen Ryan is pretty unflappable.

IMO, the best thing Romney has done in his presidency so far, was to pick Paul Ryan as his VP. :yay:

......
Loved his crap on Obamacare. :bs: He's taking the money from places like medicare and medicaid to pay for it. Costs that are paid out to providers on medicare, medicaid, Tricare, etc. are lowered so he has the money to pay for those that are going on obamacare. And don't tell me it's BS. They've already done it to Tricare and doctors are dropping patients left and right. Thank you Mr obama.

I think Ryan will come off as that stiff stuck up uncle at the family outings that stands back and looks with disapproval off everyone, while Biden is the happy go lucky idiot uncle running around trying to get everyone to lighten up.
The Biden character at the family function is the one most people like
but the Ryan character is the one that financed the function.

Would THIS face lie?

We'll see! Ryan isn't the stuffed shirt type - he's a very likable sort of guy AND he knows his facts. :yay: I think he will do very well for himself in a debate with Joe. Joe can make jokes all he wants (like he did with Palin to try and charm her/the audience to deflect from the debate) but I don't think the American peeps are much in the mood for that these days.

I wasn't really looking forward to last night's debate as much as I am looking forward to the Ryan /Biden debate.

Power with Control
O'Malley - "the president has a dignified reserve. Tonight was not a game changer."

:bs:
I like Dennis Millers quote better...."Obama better hope a Kicked Ass is covered under Obamacare."

Tonight, he's a man who has a four year record to defend, and one plan passed, and more to come that he knows damn well will only be enacted against the wishes of the majority of the people. And he's pretty sure he cant get there, even if he wins. The odds of him ever getting the majority he had are slim.

Ryan vs Biden? I think Ol' Joe will think he can spin a web of downhominess that Ryan will look like an idiot against. But I suspect Joe's confidence might be his undoing. An straight hour of gaffe free speech is more than anyone can reasonably expect out of Joe, especially when faced with a man who's not impressed with Joes Joeness. Like Obamas constantly clenched jaw and angry headshakes, Joes not used to people giving him what for a clear manner when they cant just talk over them.

I missed this while skimming the tread the first time -

As I sit and watch the clips from the debate - I've been thinking the same thing about the debate 4 years ago with McCain. SO...what happened to the "GREAT ORATOR"? He was not present last night.

Am I the only Paul Ryan fan alive? I haven't seen anything in Paul Ryan that makes him look idiotic nor do I think he's a stuffed shirt. He comes across as a very likeable guy. I've been watching him for quite a number of years in Congress and have felt for some time he was one of the new faces of the GOP that will be leading us into the future. I wonder if anyone realizes he's been in Congress since 1999?!

I think Paul Ryan is going to clean Biden's clock on the facts, on the numbers about the facts, and in any legislative area. He's the author of "The Path to Prosperity" Fiscal year 2012 Budget Resolution. www.prosperity.budget.house.gov he knows his stuff. :yay:
