What's your opinion of the teenagers & some adults that ride around with the 'boom-da-boom' going. The ones that you can hear inside your house. Should the cops be ticketing them?

Are you one of them? Ticket them more often? It doesn't bother me?

Doesn't bother me. Part of being a kid is working at a sh*t-hole place and spending all your money on a phat stereo system. I dunno, it's just never bothered me.

I always blasted when out cruising around, but turned it down when in residential areas

:yeahthat: Me too. I had the whole ba-ba-boom system when I was in high school. Eventually my car got broken into and it all got stolen, though. :ohwell:

(Fuddy-duddy alert) That booming, thudding bass doesn't sound like music to me. My idea of musical bass is James Jamerson, who laid down those great grooves on the classic Motown hits.

It normally doesn't bother me. However, yesterday, stuck at a red light with the suv next me blaring some movie from the back seat with constant screaming and vulgarity, I wish I hadn't heard it and it freaked me out until I realized what was going on. In that case, they should have been ticketed and the dvd taken away and broken into tiny bits.

I like it when they pull up next to me and the bass is thumping.

It tickles!

Guh! :duh: Pte! :spank: Here's another case of over reaction to the trivial. :duh:

Why do you let stupid things like this consume you? I swear, you people that get wrapped around the axle over this stuff really should not be out in society. STAY HOME!!! In an emergency if you should ever have to leave your house, invest in a Popemobile Bubble car. That should protect you from the noise and vicious man eating puppies. :duh:

Due to some hearing damage, I listen to everything (TV, Stereo) louder than most. I usually turn it down depending on what time of day it is though. When I had the whole "phat system" thing in my car a few years ago, if I came home at 2 in the morning, it was turned down. At 3 in the afternoon though, I was rattling window panes.

As long as they have a system for it (not some rattle-rattle pos), I say go for it but please use some discretion at like 10 at night. Booming cars to me are the same as those loud motorcycles that everyone seems to like, not my style but great for someone else.

But on a side note, I thought they had passed a law recently about this such subject.

Consideration is the (key) word that comes to mind, and some folks don't seem to observe what may bother someone else. Yes, I thought a law was recently passed, though not sure if it was Maryland as a whole, or just certain counties.

Ticket the little deaf bastards. The law says it cannot be so loud as to be heard 50 feet from their vehicle. Make money off of them or do away with the law.

Doesnt bother me around town on main roads. But it should be turned down in residential neighborhoods out of respect.

I would gladly say ticket them if they are obnoxiously loud in a residential area....but then how would that be enforced fairly given all the possible "if's, and's or but's"?

Shouldn't I be able to hear the music that I'm playing in my car? When one of these hoodlums rolls up anywhere near me, I can't hear my music. I wish the cops would ticket them.

Yeah ok ticket them all....while the police are writing tickets, your neighbors son is breaking into your house, and they have to finish writing the ticket before they take the call....cool.
