It's such a fascinating show. Detectives trying to solve shootings while the witnesses are lying to them. Good thing they have security cameras. I don't know how they managed to solve crimes before they had that tool.

They film in medium sized cities like Memphis & Cleveland. Most of the shows are black victims with the killers most times also black. Being an aspiring rapper is often listed as the job title of the deceased. Amazing the number of people that hang out with people but they don't know their real names. They claim they only know they by their street name. Also a whole lot of witnesses don't pay attention because nobody ever sees anything, yet there are dozens of bystanders.

I marvel at the level of work that often goes into solving these crimes.

They're all the same.

Pookie kills Stinkum.
The cops know Pookie killed Stinkum.
"Pookie, did you kill Stinkum?"
"Naw, man, I don't even know that boy."
"Pookie, we have evidence that you killed Stinkum."
"Ahm a goot boah. Jes ass my mama."
blah blah, blah blah blah
"I did it! I killed Stinkum! He dissed me!"

At some point there will be a sleazy tatted up white chick involved.

That is the cool thing about working in a Police Property and Evidence Section. When Detectives come to check stuff out, I get to hear little tidbits about how they are solving cases based on what evidence we have.
