So, any bets on whether Jessica is taking a walk to the HR department to complain that Jesse and Greg are being mean to her?

Power with Control
Point - People are torching teslas, chargers and dealerships, shooting dealerships to force a political change. Trump says they might be domestic terrorists
Jessica counterpoint - People protesting dealerships are not terrorists

Nope, doesnt work.

I'm surprised they don't do it more often. I missed today's fireworks but she's routinely clueless and offensive.
Partly disagree. Like Donna Brazile, she's a die-hard shill for the left, unlike Harold, who can be reasonable when the failings of the left are OBVIOUS.

I don't necessarily want Jessica off the show - IF you're going to have a discussion on a topic, it helps to have SOMEONE defend the other side. I don't want to see FOX as a network that never features people from the left, because they're not able to defend their OWN positions.

In Jessica's favor - unlike the Judge - and sometimes Greg - she DOES do research. She does cherry-pick. She will cite polls that favor her point of view, or news items that are decidely slanted. Judge and Greg OFTEN come completely unprepared - because they SAY so. She almost always has done her homework. So if you want to do battle with Jessica, you cannot just wing it and hope that logic alone refutes her.

HOWEVER -

Each bloc has an understood amount of TIME as each guest opens the bloc and goes around the panel for input. She goes WAAAAAY overtime - she will NOT be concise, like say, Dana or Greg, who will generally say their bit and conclude. She interrupts and talks over people, especially the judge who clearly cannot stand her.

AND - some of it is theater. I mean it. When panelists were asked to describe one another - Jesse referred to Jessica as "sweet" - and they have all indicated they've been to her home and met her family. You never do that for someone you despise -

AND - I personally try not to despise people with whom I disagree politically, or I have NO moral high ground to point it out in others who hate the right and unfriend people for political reasons. Politics is NOT my religion.

I enjoy watching her on the show, only because I love the fireworks when they get started. However, like it has already been mentioned, Harold is able to defend his points but also agree if the dems are wrong. Jessica just can't do it. And her TDS is beyond obvious. I can't stand any commentator that only has TDS to back up their point.

As far as Jessica "doing her research" most of the time, the "research" she spews gets proven wrong in time and then she never mentions it again. Pretty much just DNC talking points that are the same as every other news caster on CNN and MSNBC.

who can be reasonable when the failings of the left are OBVIOUS.

I have never seen her do that, I've only seen her either being a just a shrill partisan or completely immersed in Juan Williams' alternate reality.

it helps to have SOMEONE defend the other side.

I completely agree but why can't they get one that isn't so obnoxious? Democrats have legitimate points to be made but instead of making those points they go off the rails on some ridiculous totalitarian rage-rant.

That's what I don't understand. There are reasonable issues they could get behind - trans people being treated fairly, for example - but instead of making that case they demand men play women's sports and use their showers and to hell with anyone else's rights. "Oh, this 4yo boy says he's a girl, so we should cut him up and drug him! AND if his parents disagree we'll just put them in jail!"

Abortion is another one - I think most Americans either support or at least could live with abortion being safe/rare/legal. But the Left wasn't content with that. "Oh yeah?" they said, "Well I'm going to abort my full term fetus and smash it right in your face! I'm going to have 18 abortions and brag about it just because I know you don't like it. In fact, I think I'll jam scissors in a born infant's brain and post it on the internet! How do you like me now?"

Environmentalism - I think most of us can agree that we should take care of our environment and not litter or pollute or destroy. But the Left had to go overboard and become raving fanatics.

And instead of telling these wackjobs to shut up and sit down, the Democrat Party embraced them and turned them into a voting base. Now Chuck Schumer has to say stupid sht for the whole world to see or risk getting attacked by the mob he helped create. That's some tasty irony right there, I'll have another helping thanks.

I still think it is odd that she is the only host on the Five that has not been on the Gutfeld show. And it is pretty clear that when Tyrus is on the Five, he can't stand her..

I personally try not to despise people with whom I disagree politically

Depends on what it is. If your political opinion is that Muslims should kill the Jews, you're a bad person and I despise you. If you think it's okay to kill born infants, I despise you. If you take to the streets, destroying property and injuring people, I despise you. If you want to take away home heating and food because you think it's bad for the planet, I despise you. If you can't even consider anything Donald Trump and knee-jerk react with venom, I despise you.

You can't have a reasonable discussion with these people. It goes like this:

Them: Trans people have rights!
Me: I agree. But they shouldn't be allowed to infringe on the rights of others.
Them: ARRRRGGGGHHHH! Transphobe! I hate you! I kill you a million times! WHY??? WHY?????

I despise those people and unfortunately they are the loudest and most powerful voices in the Democrat Party.

Those are the pundits on TV. Most of the lefties or Democrats I know are squarely in the Harold Ford stripe. My son's old Scoutmaster - our pastor - couple folks I hang out - pretty much every gay and POC acquaintance I have. A couple doctors. They're not rabid and they're not spiteful.

Most of the ones I know on social media - a niece - two ex-girlfriends - people we met via adopting - they're shrill to put it mildly. I block their posts, because it's endless. When they attack ME - I cut them off.

You know what's funny, to me? I know I am talkative and annoying, but most people believe I'm generally gentle, kind spoken, reasonable - and if they're left-wing - they're seriously SHOCKED to know I voted for Trump. Three times. As they spit out hate for conservative and Trump voters, they simultaneously and fervently believe that the Left has a lock on compassion. It's eerie to watch.

They all do that.
Somewhat. But my primary medium for The Five is the RADIO, and there are long moments when it's Jessica and someone else - and I cannot discern a word. And if there's that kind of garblefest - Jessica is always one of them, if she's a guest.

Actually those are the elected officials that Democrats you know voted for.

They're not rabid and they're not spiteful.

I'd rather *they* be rabid and spiteful than vote for those who are. Rando Leftists don't impact my life; the people they elect do.

See, this is what makes me crazy. My family would be in the same ball park as Harold Ford, but still vote for the Crazy Dem leaders. And they also won't admit to anything good that might come out of the Trump administration. I just don't get it.

You just say Trumps name in front of them and the gasps and eye rolls.
