Yes this is MY review because I AM a Food Critic !!

Atmosphere: Excellent. Charming place not over crowding the tables and very clean. (Did not make it to a bathroom)

Food: Appetizer crab cake very good, Salad excellent, Rack of ribs very good with very good mashed potatoes.

a note on the salad. The house salad came with a wide variety of greens. You could tell the salad was fresh and prepared to order. The presentation of the salad was very nice.
Desert was one of the better ones I have had, Death by Chocolate. Worth the price of admission!! Delicious and presented very well.

Price: The menu has a wide variety of items and many mid range items in the 8-12 dollar range. Some entrees run up to the 15-20 range. The menu offered crab cakes as appetizer or a meal. All in all very reasonable prices. They also have a kids menu.

Service: Waitress very pleasant and efficient. Did not get a chance to quiz her on the menu though.

Appetizer, Dinner and Desert spit between me and wife $40. that included 2 beers. Not bad.

4 out of 5 stars

Finally a place that is not a chain that is really a good place to eat! :yahoo:

Had dinner there for the first time tonight.

House salad was really nice.

Got the medium sized prime rib, asked for medium rare. Good news: it wasn't one of those pre-packaged vacuum-sealed steaks. Bad news: they appear to have microwaved it to reheat it, so my medium rare request was more like the high side of medium and a bit chewy. Taste was fair. But as far as prime ribs go, probably the best I've had in this area. But I'm spoiled. Came with excellent grilled veggies and smashed 'taters.

They had a "special" drink, a Margarita made with all kinds of liquor. Served in a martini glass from a martini shaker... strange, but ok.... Tell you what... it was good and it knocked my socks off. Whuff.

Best part of the evening: bumping into a forumite on the way out. :howdy:

I'll be back.

Your friends looked a little miffed that I was interrupting their girl talk...
I think they were just jealous your tennies were whiter than theirs...:huggy:

Me and :gossip: ordered the grilled chicken w/avacado and bacon. :gossip: and :gossip: ordered the deep fried ham & cheese w/ raspberry sauce. All of of enjoyed the food and loved having dinner on the Front Porch. In my opinion the waitress was a ditz, but she was nice.

I was just wondering if you would recognize me :lmao:

:howdy:

No, I didn't ! :frown: I had only "met" you once before a long while ago (Starbucks) and didn't realize then that I had met you, so I had no idea who you are! Where were you sitting in relation to Kwillia?

Yes! Especially since we were on The Front Porch where her your shrill little screeches wouldn't reverberate from the walls. You should come next time!
