A surprisingly good movie, along the lines of Top Gun, GI Jane, Navy SEALS, etc. Ashton had NO (that would be ZERO) chemistry with his love interest, but he rucked up and actually turned in a nice performance.

Costner does better as a grizzled vet than he did as the pretty boy. Something about him always bugged me, but that monotone whatever does better as a mature character.

They cheesed the final rescue scene and there were a few things that made you go "Yeah right" but, all in all, a very good flick and I didn't feel like I'd wasted an hour and a half of my life. :yay:

Urk. Too high maintanance - I like guys without issues. Tom Cruise makes me yak, too.

Really? I never followed him enough to hear about his issues, do tell.
Costner's issues, not Cruise's, we ALL know his issues. :drama:

Just because they're not made public, doesn't mean they don't exist.

It's the characters he plays. They always have some girly man thing going on where you want to slap them upside the head and go, "GTF over it, dip####!" :smack:

He was sorta fishy in Waterworld.

Someone needs to slap me upside the head for that awful joke.

How you been Ghostbuster? :really:
I've been good but busy. It's my final semester so I'm all stressed and worried about that and what the future holds. So far, I think I'm doing a bit of traveling when I get out in May. Maybe Vegas, New York, Australia, a cross-country trek after that. Who knows, it's exciting nonetheless.

Political Science. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I'm going through a lot of options in my head though; around here, D.C., Baltimore, New York, California, Government job, major corporation, Justice department, the NFL (my dream heh), even the military. Just not sure yet.:ohwell:

Very Cool :yay:

Back to The Guardian. I liked it. Kutcher definitely did NOT have sizzle with his love interest. Flirtacousness, yeah... But not the type of imagery one would expect the two of them ending up married and such.. Check out A Lot Like Love to see him with sizzle. As far as Costner goes, the Tin Cup and For the Love of the Game are persuasively sexy.. I like him as an actor. Never do I want to see Waterworld.

Overall - The Guardian is a keeper! :yay:
