Never saw it, watched the trailer and it looks pretty good. Couldn't help but think it odd that in all of the millions of lives affected by that tsunami which killed more than 200k people that the one family important enough to warrant a Hollywood movie are vacationing Europeans.

I remember watching all of those personal videos of the tsunami when it happened......so many deaths in an instant.....don't think i can do the hollywood sensationalism on this one.

Saw it in the theatre in Bethesda when it came out, also have it on DVD. Heart wrenching.

The underwater scene was rough to watch. Had to shut my eyes a couple times..too painful.
