If they kicked him in the head while he was out it could've killed him.vraiblonde said:Sounds like a fight to me
With 6 kids on him, if they'd wanted to kill him they would have. So murder was obviously not their intent.

If I had to lay blind money, I would say that the kid got in fights with the white rednecks in that town who need to bring they country ass into the 21st century.
And so what if one of the kids was 18? Was he still in high school? Then he's not an adult. You guys, I swear - I can't believe you're trying to lay all the blame on the black kid.
Depending on state law.. most states don't distinguish..pcjohnnyb said:No, those would be "felony-assault on the elderly".
And I say they were unreasonably provoked and the white kid got what was coming to him.PrchJrkr said:I say they are animals that should be charged with attempted murder.
Really? learn somethin new every day. Thats sad.itsbob said:Depending on state law.. most states don't distinguish..
I'd say the response was about as unreasonable as the provocation. I still want you to bear my children, though.vraiblonde said:And I say they were unreasonably provoked and the white kid got what was coming to him.
Well in that case damn shame they didn't kill him.. that would have taught him!vraiblonde said:And I say they were unreasonably provoked and the white kid got what was coming to him.
Ideally this will teach him just as good. If one of my kids did something like that, they better HOPE the black kids got to them before I did.itsbob said:Well in that case damn shame they didn't kill him.. that would have taught him!
Ha, i don't forsee this teaching him much though. now he will just say "i survived being jumped by those 6 black kids" and keep doing ####, but i could be wrong...vraiblonde said:Ideally this will teach him just as good. from one of the many blogs on this case: I am from Jena too. I have biracial children in my family. Believe me, almost every article and interview is not giving the true picture of what happened. When I read these articles I think, NO WONDER people all over the world are so upset...If I didn't know better, I would be mad too. I know that at least 3 of the boys have rap sheets, this weeks Jena Times (thejenatimes.net)gave the info on Bell. I believe because of their age it has to be kept under wraps. Some of the blacks in the community are afraid of these boys. That is the truth.
And about the white boys that hung the nooses...That was disgusting. I know that one of those boys is a cocky little bully, that picks on everyone...white & black. But the boy that was knock unconcious had nothing to do with the nooses. The rumor (I said rumor, not fact) was that the "6" were targeting boys that dressed in wranglers and boots. That was Justin's only crime.
For the most part, the other things you guys are hearing about has been very twisted. I know 2 people that gave interviews and they were altered so much that it came out sounding nothing like what they said.
Now I tend to doubt everything I read in the papers and hear on the news. I guess these reporter just want to have exciting stories, it seems a couple get carried away then the others jump on the wagon.
The person that said there is no "whites only tree" was telling the truth. There are some nice shady benches that lots of black kids sit at...I don't think of them as blacks only benches, there is an area where a lot of the band students sit, I don't think there is any kind of rule..spoken or unspoken, saying that no one else is allowed to sit there or that anyone is unwelcome...kids sit where they choose to sit, usually with their friends. Don't other schools have spots where friends meet up at recess to visit?
It seems to me that the media is causing racial tension...I just don't understand why.
I think there is a hand full of blacks and a hand full of whites that are prejudice, other than that the rest of the people are just fine.
I wonder if Jena will recover from this.

Like the broadcast or print media have the market cornered on honest unbiased reporting?vraiblonde said:I am not listening to some blogger person who could be anyone.
So based your logic, a drunk driver who kills should not be charged because it was not his or her intent???vraiblonde said:Sounds like a fight to me
