The Judge review

This weekend I used Direct TV Cinema to watch a couple movies the first being "The Judge"

I liked this movie and give it a Pete score of 8 :pete:'s Robert Duvall plays a Judge in a small town in Indiana, Robert Downey Jr. plays his estranged son who is a hot shot defense attorney in Chicago. Downey returns home for his mothers funeral and in typical movie fashion makes amends with his father who he discovers has stage 4 cancer and needs legal help. Excellent acting by both Downey and Duvall. Story line is believable and easily carried throughout. It has funny moments delivered by Downey along with some tense and intriguing moments. It is an excellent way to spend a couple hours.

Duvall is Duvall. He is a gifted actor that takes a role and plays it Duvall style and it just works. Downey is awesome and should have been nominated for an Oscar but of course he wasn't. Also providing a nice performance was Billy Bob Thornton who I also enjoy.

Score = :pete: :pete::pete::pete::pete: :pete::pete::pete: out of ten.
