Daniel 11:36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place. 37 He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his ancestors he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.
40 “At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites in submission. 44 But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. 45 He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.

Here's the link to the commentary I read.

He shall exalt and magnify himself above every god: The angel explained to Daniel that this king would blaspheme God and exalt himself until the wrath has been accomplished and what has been determined shall be done.
Shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished: Antichrist will do much damage, but he is on a short chain and will only work into God’s plan. God’s purpose will be accomplished.
He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women: Based on this, some Bible scholars believe that the Antichrist will be of Jewish descent, and perhaps will also be a homosexual. These things may not be popularly known about the man, but they may be true nonetheless.
He shall honor a god of fortresses: The Antichrist will take and hold power with military might and the shrewd use of great riches.
At the time of the end: The angel described to Daniel a confederation of kings coming against this great leader, with a battle in and near the Holy Land.

King of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind: Prophetically speaking, a precise identification of peoples mentioned is difficult. The king of the South may be Egypt or represent the Arab community. The king of the North may be the Antichrist’s domain (as the “new Antiochus Epiphanes”) or it may be Russia.
The precise points may be cloudy, but the general idea is clear. The end will be marked by great conflict, culminating in the world’s armies gathering in the Promised Land to do final battle.
Yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him: In the end there is no hope for the Antichrist or for any of his followers.

Please allow me to review. Daniel had a vision. He was with some of his fellow "magicians" [as they were called] and Michael showed up to translate Daniel's vision. Michael said Daniel was "highly esteemed by God" and when Daniel started praying.... God listened. So, Michael was dispatched to explain what the vision meant.

The other "magicians" [as they were called] couldn't help but see Michael when he arrived. He was glowing like a sapphire and his eyes glowed like torches. The "magicians" [as they were called] were so freaked out by the glowing, shining, fiery angel that they found something to hide behind, hoping the angel wouldn't notice them. Michael wasn't there for the "magicians" [as they were called]. Michael was sent by God to translate for Daniel because Daniel was greatly esteemed.

According to my Online Bible, these verses are about a "king who exalts himself". According to the commentary, it's about the Anti-Christ.
____________
Now according to the commentary, the Anti-Christ will hang around until the job is finished. He's snubbing his nose at God and taking all the credit for himself. He "exalts" himself. But, according to the commentary, this Anti-Christ can only do his nasty deeds until God is done with him.

Based on the description above, would you be surprised if I thought of a self-exalting stable genius or his fist thrusting financier? I checked. Neither of these two are of Jewish blood. The stable genius really defends Israel. His support of Israel greatly outweighs his support for other countries in the throes of war, like Ukraine. The fist thruster is reported to have attended Jewish schools. Alas, neither of them professes to have Jewish blood running in their veins.

Another controversy is stirring in verse 37. What exactly is "one desired by women" supposed to mean???? The verse goes on to say, "He will exalt himself above them all". Now check out the commentary.... the commentary "hints" that the Anti-Christ will be a homosexual! [see it in red up there?]

The stable genius is said to be "willing to grab pussy" while the other "has 12 children". That's quite contradictory to what the Bible says the Anti-Christ will do. Perhaps neither is the Anti-Christ or the King who exalts himself. Although neither of them seems to be at all "Christlike".

Now what about the commentary stating the king of the south in these verses may be Egypt while the king of the north.... well, it may be "Russia" [see it in red up there?]!

Why in the world would I want to say the Ex-KGB-guy or the fist thrusting financier or the stable genius is the Anti-Christ? If the real Anti-Christ is one of them... then we are indeed in "End Times"! Why wish that on earth?

Check out verse 40. Is Michael describing World War III?

The doomsday clock says we are 89 seconds away????

Some have asked why I detest the stable genius so much. Well, to me, he thinks he's better than everyone... including God. To me, he thinks his poop smells divine! To me... he "exalts himself" to the utmost.

Anyway... regardless of my opinions on the stable genius or his fist thrusting financier or the Ex-KGB-guy, my Online Bible says the Anti-Christ will "exalt himself"! Well, don't all three seem to be likely suspects???

This is about:

"The king who exalts himself"
