The Notebook

A MUST HAVE for any dvd collection. I saw it when it was in theatres and then I went and bought it last night. Very very close portrayal to the book. The cast of characters were perfect. They mimic the characters in the book in an awesome fashion. I give it a whoping :yay: :yay:

I was planning on buying for the wife for valentines day, and last night when the commercial was on to show, she started making signs so I guess I am on the right track, for once...

Yes, daddy-o, I do believe this would be one that you would strike gold with. Sit and watch it with her.. and just hold her hand. My husband did this last night, and it made it even more enjoyable than that first time I saw it. :yay:

Yup read them both. I liked the rescue more than I liked the guardian. There is a really good one of his called something like a bend in the road that is awesome.

I think Sam Shepard's part was cute. He was quite funny actually, Playing noah's father. :) Just the way that he came out with things.

They also have deleted scenes on the dvd that we watched. Some were good but for the most part- I saw why they deleted them. Cause otherwise I think it would have been "to much".

We were also talking about it last night- that I wonder how hard it is to make the "sex" scenes. Because those seemed more real than some of them I had seen. I mean like the sounds and movement. JMO though. I would find it pretty hard to do it.

I heard the guardian was quite different from the others he has written. Is that true? And yeah, I have "A Bend in the road".. gonna read that after the guardian. I pretty much have all of Nicholas Sparks books, except the earlier ones like Message in a Bottle, and A Walk to Remember.

I've read all of Nicholas Sparks' books, with The Notebook being my favorite. His next one, True Believer, will be out in April, with a sequel to it scheduled for September release.

I have not seen any of the movies because my experience is usually that the book is much better. After reading this, however, I may give it a try. Great idea for a Valentine's gift, by the way!
