Remember the Clarence Thomas hearings?

Democrats who usually opposed polygraph examinations wanted to admit Anita Hill's results to corroborate her allegations against Clarence Thomas, while Republicans who usually supported their admission objected vehemently.

Metzenbaum, Kennedy, and Hatch were neither liberal nor conservative that day ... they were hypocrites.

And today in 2005, the bipartisan hypocrisy continues. Democrats now for states rights and Republicans opposed to them? As the SNL church lady used to say, "How convenient!"
