Anyone else currently use orthoevra? Or did and then got off to get preggo? I'm wondering how long it took to get preggo...I've been off mine for almost 2 months and still nothing. :ohwell:

Glad you brought this up. My friend is wondering if birth control is over the counter now. Can anyone give me some information on this?

I don't know about the patch, but it took me two years to get pregnant after I stopped taking the pill.

It could take awhile, even a year or two in many instances. Two-months is hardly enough time. If you want to increase your chances, you want to cut way back on caffeine, if not give it up completely.

Have you tried an ovulation calculator? http://www.bigall.com/bc/calculators/ovulationcalc.php

That's what helped me finally get pregnant with my 2nd:yay: And when I found out I was pregnant with my third I looked back and it was right. (And I had literally just come off of birth control)

Most Birthcontrols are out of your system as soon as you stop taking them. Your ovulations can get messed up though because your body has to take them over, they are no longer controled by the hormone in the Rx.

Give it some time, 2 months is still pretty early in trying to conceive.:huggy:

It took me 3 months to get pregnant after going off the pill the first time. 4 months the second time and almost immediately the third time. I miscarried the third one and I'm convinced it was because my body hadn't adjusted after being on the pill.

I've heard that you should try and wait at least three months after stopping hormonal bc to get preggo, to let the stuff work it's way out of your system. Doctors disagree on this point though.

2 months is nothing. Give it time and relax. The stress of trying to get pregnant on a time table can cause you to not conceive.

I knew 2 months wasn't enough time...I was just curious how long it took others to get pregnant after they stop taking any sort of birth control.

I figured you'd have a due date around then since my #1 babe is the same scenario. It's a great time to have a chillin'!
