Their plan has come to fruition. We celebrate gas prices being down to $2.87!!! We have become so accepting of purposely inflated prices that when they drop to a lower inflated price we think we are getting a great deal. Prices should be under $2.00/gal but we all know the current administration will not allow the industry to produce.

I heard someone say yesterday that WTOP told him the reason gas prices are coming down is because EVs are finally having an impact. There are so many EVs on the road now that this is causing an oversupply of gas. What a bunch of BS. Yeah this was a liberal that told me this.

They have vivid imaginations.

For your consideration ...

Well, oil has been going down for a while and at near $70 a barrel. That has something to do with it.

Last Friday's closing price of crude oil was $68.65/barrel. That would have been the price used to determine gas prices for Monday morning. Gas prices move about 5¢ per gallon for every $1/barrel of oil. Oil closed yesterday @ $71.19 - a rise of less than 3 dollars, which should equate to no more than a 15¢ increase in gas, yet gas increased 32¢ per gallon. Makes no damn sense to me.

I paid $2.749 at Myers Shell in Waldorf yesterday. Reg price was $3.049, Shell rewards card is 10 cents off, the 20th of the month is an extra 20 cents off. Loved it

Without those rewards it would have been $3.05. I paid $2.29 Thursday at Shell using those rewards instead of $3.09. Using them to compare gas prices is being disingenuous.
