Faculty Members Demand University Fire Law Professor For ‘Inciting Violence’ Before US Capitol Attack

Officials at Chapman University in Orange, California, say they do not have the authority to fire a law professor who was a featured speaker at last week’s “Save America” rally, which ended with some attendees storming the U.S. Capitol — an attack that left five people dead.

The announcement comes after more than 150 faculty members called on officials at the private college to dismiss John C. Eastman. He was the man in the hat who shared the stage with Rudy Giuliani when the president’s personal attorney told the crowd, “Let’s have trial by combat.”

Self-Described ‘Hacker’ Says She’s Archived 99% Of Parler Posts For Public Record, Including Raw Video With Metadata]

A Twitter user who describes herself as a hacker says she has archived around 99% of the content from the social media platform Parler, which went dark early Monday as Amazon banished the site from its cloud hosting service. The documentation reportedly includes deleted posts and raw video files that had been uploaded to the online forum, complete with metadata.

Parler has become the preferred social media platform for several supporters of President Donald Trump and far-right groups concerned about being censored by more mainstream alternatives, such as Facebook and Twitter.

Big Tech targeted Parler after rioters breached the U.S. Capitol last week, accusing the social network of violating its terms of service for failing to take adequate measures to prevent the dissemination of content that incites violence. The platform was reportedly used to promote violent threats leading up to Wednesday’s “Save America” rally, which ended with numerous attendees storming the Capitol building as members of Congress were in the process of certifying the presidential election results. The mayhem that ensued resulted in five deaths. Both Apple and Google dropped Parler from their app stores over the weekend.

The Deplatforming Continues – GoDaddy Boots AR15.com

The assault by power-drunk tech giants on topics, viewpoints and subject matters that don’t conform with the current approved, bien pensant orthdoxy continues. ARFCOM has just posted this tweet announcing that GoDaddy has booted them from their service. Because they can.

The site appears to be up for now. We’ve spoken to Brownells which owns ar15.com for comment, but they’re still dealing with the situation and don’t have an official comment yet.

Do tech companies think that ghetto-izing viewpoints and thought on the internet will somehow bring about the unity and brotherly love that the desiccated husk of Joe Biden keeps proclaiming is his one goal? Do they think that the heightened levels of animosity and distrust will be lessened by more moves to silence individuals and companies with opposing points of view? Do they even care?

Facebook Is Purging Phrase ‘Stop The Steal’ From Platform, Company Says

Facebook is removing all content with the phrase “stop the steal” ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, the company announced on Monday.

Facebook issued a statement saying that it was removing all content with the phrase, used by supporters of President Trump to question the outcome of the 2020 presidential election because it violates the company’s policy against “coordinating harm.” Facebook said that it made the decision in light of the pro-Trump riot in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

I'm so worried for our country. How could this have happened?
I have posted this dozens of times in this forum over several years. Heck, for well over a decade. It mostly went ignored; yet here we are. :sshrug:

“We will take America without firing a shot …. We will BURY YOU! We can’t expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism. We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within.” - Nikita Khrushchev

A teacher in Allentown was fired for attending the DC rally. He didn't engage in violence or storm the Capitol or anything like that, he just post a picture of him holding a Stop the Steal sign on his FB, and the school fired him.

Chit's getting real.

My brother (a high school teacher and arguably, an incredibly good one - if you knew the kind of relationship I have with my brother, you'd know that's saying something) made a couple of political comments online many years ago - and the only way he keeps his job is, he stays off the Internet. I can contact him by email and phone texts, but if I want to wish him a happy birthday online, I and others post it on his wife's Facebook page. When he answers the Facebook Messenger group our family has online (I have many, many relatives) he qualifies if it is him or his wife.

Basically - he's long been squelched. He fought it for quite a while, but it left him broke and without a job.

If you want to see how this nation can turn Communist, we're already getting there. His school system has him on a leash.

Forbes Magazine Editor Threatens Any Company Hiring Trump’s White House Press Secretaries
After claiming he was issuing a “truth reckoning” and listing all of Trump’s White House press secretaries in his op-ed, Randall Lane, CCO of Forbes Media and editor of Forbes Magazine, writes:

Don’t let the chronic liars cash in on their dishonesty. Press secretaries like Joe Lockhart, Ari Fleischer and Jay Carney, who left the White House with their reputations in various stages of intact, made millions taking their skills — and credibility — to corporate America. Trump’s liars don’t merit that same golden parachute. Let it be known to the business world: Hire any of Trump’s fellow fabulists above, and Forbes will assume that everything your company or firm talks about is a lie. We’re going to scrutinize, double-check, investigate with the same skepticism we’d approach a Trump tweet. Want to ensure the world’s biggest business media brand approaches you as a potential funnel of disinformation? Then hire away.
Lane praised former President Barack Obama’s press secretary Jay Carney and former President Bill Clinton’s press secretary Joe Lockhart as having “left the White House with their reputations in various stages of intact, made millions taking their skills — and credibility — to corporate America.”

In response to the Forbes op-ed, Newsbusters commented, “This is the same Jay Carney who made a career out of spewing falsehoods on behalf of his former boss. During one 2012 press conference, Carney had said that the rate of government spending under Obama was lower than ‘all of his predecessors since Dwight Eisenhower, including all of his Republican predecessors.’ That false statement earned him a three-Pinocchios rating from Washington Postfact-checker’ Glenn Kessler.”

GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik Responds After Harvard Cuts Her From Politics Advisory Board

"Congratulations Harvard, the entire Board of the Institute of Politics now consists only of Joe Biden voters – how reflective of America."

Stefanik, who graduated from Harvard in 2006, responded to Elmendorf in a statement of her own on Tuesday, accusing the university of intolerance and of cowering to the “woke left.” Stefanik also said that with her departure from the board, the remaining members consist “only of Joe Biden voters.” Stefanik stated:

As a conservative Republican, it is a rite of passage and a badge of honor to join the long line of leaders who have been boycotted, protested, and canceled by colleges and universities across America. The decision by Harvard’s administration to cower and cave to the woke Left will continue to erode diversity of thought, public discourse, and ultimately the student experience. The Ivory Tower’s march toward a monoculture of like-minded, intolerant liberal views illustrates the sneering disdain for everyday Americans and will instill a culture of fear for students who will understand that a conservative viewpoint will not be tolerated and will be silenced. During my time in Congress serving on the House Committee on Education and Labor, I have already taken on Harvard and won. Building a bipartisan coalition of members of Congress who successfully fought against Harvard’s unconstitutional attack on freedom of association for single-sex organizations remains one of my proudest achievements. I relish the opportunity to stand up for freedom of speech and freedom of thought on college campuses across America. Congratulations Harvard, the entire Board of the Institute of Politics now consists only of Joe Biden voters – how reflective of America.

Schumer: Put Everyone Who Was in the Capitol on No-fly List

Schumer joined Democrats who want President Trump to be put through an impeachment proceeding for a second time, believing he "incited" last week's violence. A group of pro-Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol and interrupted Congress's electoral college certification of the 2020 election. Five people died as a result of the chaos, including Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick.

House Homeland Security Chair Suggests Putting Cruz, Hawley on No-fly List

House Homeland Security Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson called on the U.S. Capitol rioters to be classified as “domestic terrorists” and put on the no-fly list—a consequence he felt Sens. Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz should face as well.

“…[T]hese folks, in my opinion, can be classified as domestic terrorists because of the actions they participated in on Wednesday,” he told Sirius XM’s The Joe Madison Show, referring to the riot by pro-Trump supporters at the U.S. Capitol Building that left five dead. “Now under normal circumstances, international terrorists are out on no-fly lists. These are domestic terrorists–same thing. A terrorist is a terrorist, no matter who you are.”

Madison wondered whether Cruz and Hawley should be similarly punished for challenging the electoral college certification of Joe Biden’s win.

“There’s talk about liability for inciting this insurrection falling, maybe, in the laps of Senator Hawley and Senator Cruz and a member of Congress who may have Facetimed or led people to Pelosi’s office,” said Madison, referring to allegations that GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado), “helped incite protesters to violence.”

Lawmakers Call To Expel Republicans Who Voted To Overturn Election Results Even After Pro-Trump Riot

As Congress decides how to proceed with calls for the removal of President Donald Trump from office, many lawmakers want their colleagues who sought to overturn the election results and amplified the president’s anti-democratic conspiracies about his election loss to face consequences.

Eight Republican senators and more than 130 representatives objected to the Electoral College count during the formal Congressional certification last Wednesday. The certification was halted and delayed after a pro-Trump mob, which the president incited, attacked the U.S. Capitol, forcing lawmakers to evacuate and leaving five people dead including a Capitol police officer. Congress certified President-elect Joe Biden’s win early Thursday morning.

But still, Republican Sens. Josh Hawley (MO), Ted Cruz (TX), Tommy Tuberville (AL), Roger Marshall (KS), John Kennedy (LA), Rick Scott (FL), Cynthia Lummis (WY) and Cindy Hyde-Smith (MS) sustained objections to the Electoral College count, and so did more than 130 GOP representatives. Some have dubbed them the “Sedition Caucus.”

Additional Senate Republicans had previously planned to join the group rejecting “electors from disputed states” during the formal counting in Congress on Wednesday, which would only have delayed — not stopped — the certification of Biden’s win. The senators’ plan drew bipartisan criticism; after the violence and unrest at the Capitol Wednesday afternoon, some of the lawmakers backtracked and denounced the idea during their remarks that night.

Consider this; years ago a court ruled that it was unlawful for the President to block people on both his personal and his POTUS accounts. The reasoning being was his tweets are deemed as part of the public record of the Presidency. In its ruling, the court declared that when Trump blocked anyone on the account is became a case of ‘’Unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination’’. This leads to the question — if he was prevented from denying access to his messaging how is it acceptable for the provider to deny his messaging outright? Did they not discriminate against his viewpoint with this action?

This turned darker, as the tech companies behaved like a supervillain imbued with newly-discovered powers. They turned their attention elsewhere, looking for who next they could possibly bring down with their forces. Aided by a press corps insisting that what we had witnessed last Wednesday was a coup attempt, it was declared that insurrection had been planned on the social media platform, Parler. With the charge of treason hanging heavy in the air this weekend the website became the next target.

First Apple, then Google, announced they were taking down the popular social media site from being available in their app stores. At the time Parler was the number app in popularity. Then next Amazon made the draconian announcement; it would be removing Parler from its Amazon Web Service, killing the site on the web. A number of other tech vendors that had been working with Parler also left, doing so instantly so that the systems were left unprotected and hackers were able to access the data.

There May be a Number of Ways Big Tech Implicated Themselves In Their Purge of Parler

Here's the List of Powerful Companies Cutting Off Trump and His Supporters After Capitol Siege

A break-away bunch of free radical Trump supporters and others, including at least one Leftist, fought their way into windows and doors or were allowed into the Capitol Building by law enforcement. Some people simply walked through the building from one entrance and exiting another. Others stuck around to do some chest beating and breaking objects and stealing things from private congressional offices.

Members of Congress were evacuated wearing gas masks.

It was abominable.

While it’s convenient to blame a president the Left already can’t stand, as I’ve reported at PJ Media, it’s very difficult to make a case that the president’s words fomented the unrest. Former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy has come to that conclusion as well, even after the shocked Fox News contributor said he believed the president incited the mob. Saying that is one thing, proving it is another. Read the president’s words and watch them for yourself.

But, people predisposed to hating the president and hyper-sensitive to the sensitivities of the institutions run by the political Left have spoken. They’ve cut off the president, his friends, colleagues and, in some case, his fans. The New York Times reported a cohort of companies from banks to health care companies are temporarily halting their PAC giving to any political partie
