If a person is convicted of using a gun for a crime, he or she would get a mandatory sentence of, say, five years.

If someone is caught with an illegally obtained gun, he or she would go to jail too. As prosecutors send gun-toting criminals to the hoosegow, crime would drop. Easy peasy.

But the left won’t allow that because that would mean lads like Camrin Williams would go to jail.





Williams had a handgun in his pocket, and it went off when he was struggling with a police officer, striking the cop. He survived.

Williams broke a bouquet of laws:

• He is too young to own a handgun.
• He is not allowed to carry a concealed handgun.
• He procured the gun illegally.
• HE SHOT A COP.

The Left continually blows its chances at making effective legislation because it never fails to overreach. They can’t come up with a damned thing that everyone can agree on WITHOUT adding tons of poison pills.

Honestly it’s never made sense to me. Why not take a win, brag about it and win elections with it? Nope they have to make it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to agree with in the vain hope it MIGHT pass - and then blame the right when it unsurprisingly does not.

Yep, that sounds pretty much like Project Exile that Richmond put in place back in the late 90s.

Regardless of what laws or penalties that are put in place nothing will prevent evil from doing evil.
