The Reason You May Regret Having Bought That AR-15 Earlier This Year

Gun enthusiasts who rushed to purchase AR-15s at the height of Congress’s recent debate over gun control may soon regret having spent so much money.

It appears that the market for the popular rifle has bottomed out.

The average price of an AR-15 has in recent weeks returned to the $800-$1,050 range, down from its all-time high of $2,500 (averaged), according to the gun blog The Truth About Guns.

I was at Bass Pro over the weekend.

They had a (IIRC) S&W AR MOE Edition. $1,995

They are smoking something.

Entirely predicable, of course. It had to happen sooner or later that supply would ramp up to meet, and eventually even exceed, demand.

If I had bought one, I think my timing would have been about right, and I probably would have got a reasonable price on a SIG RM400E...

If I only had thought to buy one.

I already turned all my firearms in to get the $100 each. Spent some of it on hookers and blow and just wasted the rest.

Michael Bloomberg finally convinced me that nobody should own a firearm.

I know the police will protect me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't by my AR-15 for resale value.
I bought it so I could shoot it.

So, I'm good :yay:

Dear NSA Agents reading this: This whole post was a joke.
