It's like a doggie "Little Debbie"....don't think it will hurt the turd burglars. May not want to let them lick your face afterwards though...

It's gross but the turds actually clean their teeth. Got two suggestions for you:
1 put the cat litter where the dog can't get to it
2 I know you can put some kind of special powder in with the food so they won't eat their own so maybe you could give it to the cat

It can hurt them; the dog can get worms from eating other animal’s feces. That is why you always have to watch your dog when they go out side to use the bathroom, you do not know what animal went in your yard and if that animal has worms.

Cat food has more protien that dog food, so what comes out tastes pretty darn good to dogs.
I've heard of putting tobasco sauce on the cat poop but that would seem like a pain, I mean, if you're at the box and there are turds, wouldn't you just as well clean it?
I just use baby gates to keep the dogs out of the majority of the boxes, but I need to come up with something to use on the folding doors on the closet. Not much worse than kitty krunchie kisses :dead:

Deter or Forbid....those are just two of the products you can buy and it is supposed to make the poo taste horrible so the pooch will not eat it any more.

Also check to see if she has a mineral deficiency, with the vet that is. You may have to give her For-Plex and in most cases within 2 weeks the poo eating will stop.

Jack,
We keep our litter box under the stairs in our basement and have the sides of the stairwell blocked off by misc. stuff and the opening blocked by a baby gate. The cats can still get in there, but not the dog. When we first got the kitten, the litter box was kept in the bathroom because he was too small to go up and down the stairs and thru the pet door at the bottom of the steps. Had to keep an eye on the dog to make sure he didn't go for take out in the bathroom. I know how much of a pain it is.

Do you have any idea how fast a turd seeking pup will find Litter Box Rocas?

I'll have just cleaned the box and Dolly will come back with her nose powdered with litter and looking for kisses.

A friend used to bring her Golden over, Gillie has since passed away, but she would always head straight for the litter box when they came through the door. Forget hello, where are the kitty krunchies?

My golden mix Buddy goes straight to the source. He holds down the cats with his arm and licks their hinders. :barf:
