The Return 2020

~~~~~~~
This was yesterday in Washington, DC. It is crazy to think how many people showed up for this. People as far as the eyes can see from the stage, in fact, many couldn't get into the gated portion of the stage. Lets not forget, we have many who are very fearful of COVID 19 and they still gathered this many people. Beautiful
The speaker, Johnathan Cahn, Messianic Jewish, pastor and author.
Kenneth Copeland bugs me - sorry, just not a fan of him at all, but wanted to post this interview he had with Rabbi Cahn a few years back.
It is long but interesting & thought provoking.
They have been talking about "The Return" all day on Fox News but I watched as much as I could yesterday, which was rough, the live streams were getting heavily bogged down and booted me off several times. It wasn't until today that they loaded up all the videos.
We are certainly living in very interesting times. Our politicians are not even hiding their hatred as they continue to spew words that do nothing but divide us in our country.
I enjoy Cahn and his work, but not a big fan as I think sketchy theological assumptions underpin some of his stuff.* But I do credit his sincerity and enthusiasm.
Anyway, quite an event! More of these, please! Thank you for posting!
* Ramble follows.... Again, not slamming Cahn; just don't necessarily buy the picture he paints. I'm in the camp that "we" tend toward trying to read back current events into the Bible to fit a schema (eisegesis rather than the better exegesis). But these schema are sometimes (often?) demonstrably over-reaches of the data. Any one of the End Times scenarios may turn out to be true (including Cahn's ideas), but we'll only know that in hindsight. This is what happened with the Messiah's First Coming; so cryptic that it was hard to clearly see the OT Messianic mosiac except in hindsight (why Jesus had to explain to (not just) the two on the Road to Emmaus how the mosaic of OT ideas actually worked). It was intentionally obscure as a future event (why? See 1 Corinthians 2:8). I think Jesus' Second Coming follows the same paradigm. Hence, why I don't subscribe to any particular End Times scenario (even if I think some End Times systems do a better job of explaining things than others).
