Every time hubby and I went there, we would order dinner and our server would always tell us "we're out of that", not just on one occasion but on several and recently I was told that a friend of ours took someone out for a business dinner and they ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and they were told "we're out of that" so he then asked for a similar white wine and the server then came back and said "we're all out of all wines":pete: So ever since hubby and I have called it "we're out of that"
On the other hand the history behind The Roost was very interesting

I worked as a bus boy there many years ago and another family member was a waitress there for about 10 years.

In my opinion, it is closed because of what is stated above and that is because the last owner "Billy" Bill Harris ran the restaurant into the ground. His father's (Mr. Harris) wished that Bill was never to run or own the restaurant for a reason. Mrs. Harris did not abide by that and the money for those constantly missing foods and wines was going to less than desirable places. So there was no money to buy food and supplies.

A great old restaurant that got run into the ground by an ignorant jack ass.

All of the above is only my opinion.

:yeahthat:

I worked there for a short time in 82. It sure did go down hill. Bill works for Caldwell Banker now and is still driving that ragged out Benz.

Wish the new owners luck with their business. Hopefully when they widen Willows Rd, it won't get torn down.:coffee:
