...A COLD FRONT MAY PRODUCE SOME STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...

FOR CALVERT AND SAINT MARYS COUNTIES IN LOWER SOUTHER MARYLAND... AS WELL AS OVER THE MARYLAND CHESAPEAKE BAY AND LOWER TIDAL POTOMAC... THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. A COLD FRONT CROSSING THE REGION WILL PRODUCE SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS. SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD CONTAIN STRONG GUSTY WINDS.

Just a bit of rumbling thunder left here. Was quite nasty for about 30 minutes. The sun is out and shining again. At least some of the humidity is gone.

At 338 PM edt...Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm over beachville...moving east at 20 mph. This storm will be capable of producing torrential rainfall...frequent lightning...and wind gusts to 50 mph. The communities of Saint Marys City and Wynne will be affected through 415 PM edt. Residents in these areas should remain alert in case warnings are issued.
