...deep in the heart of Texas!

Oh MAN! I am SO ready to pack up and move here!!! Maybe there are crappy parts of TX but the places we've explored between Dallas and Killeen are THE BOMB! We LOVE it!!!

We went to Crawford yesterday to pay our respects - very cute town and the people couldn't be any nicer. Then we found roadside BBQ that was nirvana. Except our waitress was a tard because she's from Jersey and looking to go back ASAP - can you imagine?

Here goes Larry on this stretch of road between Waco and Killeen, got the ZZ Top going and laying rubber

We leave Thursday for San Antonio and I can't wait - this place ROCKS!

Yeah, I just checked their web page and noticed they have Chicago, New York, Boston, San Diego, and Myrtle Beach (along with their Dallas and San Antonio locations).

The atmosphere for drinking and eating good food is... perfect. :lmao:

I love Texas. My bff lived in Dallas for seven years and I spent lots of time there with her. I really wish she hadn't divorced that one. Helluva nice guy.

I was in a karate tournament in San Antonio one time. San Antonio kicks ass. (I didn't. Came in last in everything.) Went back with bff and another chickie poo and sang karaoke in our hotel bar, except that they didn't have karaoke so I had to talk the bandleader into letting me sing Copacabana with his band while he watched. It was pretty easy to convince him and the crowd begged for more. :diva:

:yeahthat: I went there once and it was a hoot.

Vrai, it sounds like you're having a blast. I've always wanted to go back to Texas to visit. I lived in Corpus Christi for a couple of years when I was very young. I don't remember much of it other than catching frogs in the backyard by filling in the tunnels with water from the garden hose and plucking them from the other end.

Are you training to be a steer (in your case I presume it would be COW) or queer? :tap:

Texas was a lot of fun when I was there.
GF won't move there, though. She has a predisposition that Texas is loaded with rednecks, cowboys, cowgirls, and nothing else. Doesn't think she would fit in.

 I tried to tell her it was just as modern as anywhere else in the country, and that they lynch most liberals. I thought that would convince her.

Only in the country. The cities have just as many liberals as the rest of the country. Well, maybe not California. I love Texas, but will never go back on account of the heat.
