If you're so concerned about your children, then why haven't you taken into account the fact that they may grow up and become geneologists....
You have single handedly made your family history a dark-cloud that they are going to have to explore and sort through probably for years.
Way to go!
Just ruin your child's life-work whydon'tcha.

I'm not labeling anyone.Jesus - we are all "In America" right? Why label with what "roots" you have? That was part of yesterday's discussion - labeling of one another, but labeling yourself is OK? Whatever dude, if that is what floats your boat so be it.
Frankly, I am not hung up on what Eastern-block European country my roots are in, I could care less. What matters is what I am today and what I will be tomorrow, and for my children.
What say you?
Mmm, I love crackers!! (preferrably with cheddar, sometimes pepper jack:snort: You got that from a Bryantown Redneck Cracker huh?

I do not claim an ethnicity - my past has been so jumbled the records are lost and unclear. Honestly there are three major stories and all three are probableI'm not labeling anyone.
For instance.
What ethnicity do you claim?
Are you not proud of your heritage?
I'm American - through and through - I fought for my country - and I'm damn proud.
But, it doesn't change the fact that my culture and heritage is something that I'm proud of too.
We're all Americans. I agree. But, I bet you the people with Irish ancestry are just as proud as I am of my ancestry.
Bottom line I could care less. With my Ethnicity and $1.25 I can get a large cup of coffee at 7-11,
that will get me far...
Oh hell yeah.Someone with Irish roots are proud of their ethnicity on March 23rd, but I get what you are saying - but they do not say I am an "Irish American" do they? I never paid attention.
On March 17th and a few weeks leading up to it is when I start to see the t-shirts, but I do not see them everyday.Oh hell yeah.
Irish-Americans are very very proud of their heritage.
You kidding me?

Hangout in Boston, New York, or Chicago. On March 17th and a few weeks leading up to it is when I start to see the t-shirts, but I do not see them everyday.![]()
Been there, done that... but we are digressing - bottom line is I think the "Label in America" is 'effing stupid, but that is my opinion.Hangout in Boston, New York, or Chicago.

...There are tons of white folks who want to be black. Just join the club.... White folks roast themselves in an oven to get a tan, now they are calling themselves African American, they support and defend hip-hop/jazz/soul, what's next, butt implants and lip injections? Oh, sorry, I'm a little late.
I am not a racist. My first wife was white, so shove it Vrai.
.............you're funny.............
I'm not siding with Tomohawk. Why does it sound like your a racist tomahawk202?? Talking about white folks want to be black. You sound like you stero type. Here is another question -- why do people use the term African American? That's a term the man made up. Over 90% of black americans have native american in their heritage if they want to admit it or not and not to just say I got indian in me cause I have good hair. When they call themselves african american they deny their native american heritage. You don't hear white people call themselves European american do you? I just say black. I'm native american myself -- not indian. My relatives aren't from india like dumb a-- columbus thought. First it was Negro, then colored and african american. WOW.
Yup, I'm a racist. Married a white girl, whom I still remain really good friends with by the way... but I am a racist, huh?Why does it sound like your a racist tomahawk202?? Talking about white folks want to be black. You sound like you stero type. .

True that!! Delete this racist peice of crap. Tomahawk202 is a racist, and a judgemental piece of crap.Deleted post
You know I see more and more black men stating "my girlfriend/wife is/was white" As if this is proof you are not a racist.Yup, I'm a racist. Married a white girl, whom I still remain really good friends with by the way... but I am a racist, huh?
And you are American Indian? Good for you. Sorry, I am fresh out of cookies, or I would give you one.![]()
