Happy Saturday to all! :howdy:

R and I went to the Tides for dinner last night and WOW what a difference. Nice menu selections, great presentation and the food and service were both excellent. Kevin Pinti is in their kitchen now and I worked with him at The Lighthouse Inn when in first opened in the 80's. He's a great chef and a top notch guy. The manager seemed incredibly sharp and on top of things and the bill was far more reasonable than in the past.

If you haven't been there since new management has taken over, give em another try! Take my word for it, sometimes it takes a few tries to really get it right in the restaurant business! :buttkick:

Yes, I agree. Hubby & I went last night also to celebrate our 20 yrs. of married bliss

It was our first visit and the food was incredible! The martini's were the best, atmosphere relaxed and romantic, excellent service and reasonably priced. We will definitely return. You can make reservations online at their website:

I included in the comment section that it was our anniversary and they placed a nice ballon on the table; a sweet touch.

We dined someplace cozy last night too, though not at the Tides... We shared Cajun broiled salmon, char-grilled barbequed shrimp, penne pasta with english cucumbers, fresh parmesan, red onions and grape tomatoes - tossed with an italian viniagrette, oh, and a spicy spinach salad with a tomato basil dressing...

 I let him do the dishes though....

Only fair, if he cooks it, I clean it up. If I cook it, he cleans it up.

I've heard a ton of great reviews since the new management took over. Will definitely have to try them out again.

I'll give it a another shot. My boyfriend and I went there for a two-year anniversary (before Chef Ahmed was fired). We're hoping the quality has remained the same.
