As fewer and fewer individuals are using cash to pay for purchases, tip jars have taken a hit. That’s where DipJar comes in. DipJar allows customers to swipe a card and deposit a tip. Here’s a video explanation by DipJar’s CEO:

great Idea ....

.... but it negates the 'tax free' aspect of tips ....

tips arent suppose to be tax free, they are required to be reported just like any cash job a self employed person accepts.
