Milo is fat. Imagine that?

The vet wants him on weight reducing dog food. He rattled off a bunch of different kinds, but does anyone have any personal experience and tried a few brands, maybe could give a recommendation?

I told you he was fat!! I use Iams Weight Management in the blue bag for my Golden. He does well with it.

If you want to get weight off a little faster, you can use the Green Bean diet for a few weeks. Whatever amount dry you feed him, cut it in half. So, say you feed him one cup...feed him 1/2 cup of dry food and then double the other 1/2..so you'd give him one full cup of green beans. I do that every now and then just to keep my Golden a little lighter on his feet. He LOVES the green beans.

Now that sounds like a plan Catt. He is 25 lbs. I use to let the kids eat in the living room, but I guess around the 1st of the year, I put a TV in the kitchen. This kept Milo from grabbing the kids food, but now, if the kids leave food on the kitchen table, he has learned to master climbing the chair and getting it. :ohwell:

He is like a walking, breathing garbage disposal, and I'm tired of everyone saying what a cute outfit I put on my pig.

He's one smart cookie!! Tally hasn't had any people food yet, and we hope to keep it that way. Hard to say how long that'll last, though.

I give my guys very little in the way of "people" stuff. I do let them have veggies and an occasional piece of chicken when I cook it for the kitties or have leftover. Now, the dang bird is a different story. He eats right off of my plate but he actually prefers to take it from my mouth. :yikes:

 My Mom's African Grey was the same way! She actually ate a very limited amount of seed, and liked fresh veggies, fruit, etc... It was like having a baby in the house because of all the preparation it took to feed the blasted bird! :lmao:

Only prep I have to do is chew it a little for him. :lmao:

I feed him pellets, not seed. I find it really odd that he loves chicken.
